Zelda's POV

It's been four months since Link left with the heroes of old on another quest.

In those four months, we've been able to get a considerable amount of things done.

Most of the buildings in central Castle Town were up. The Gorons had cleared most of the rubble from the Castle. I wasn't going to reinstate it, just rebuild it and make it Hyrule's symbol once again.

I found it real difficult to rule a kingdom which hadn't had a leader for one hundred years.

I also found that staying in Hateno for a prolonged period of time will give me a southern accent. Not that I mind.

Anyway, the entire kingdom rallied behind Link when they suggested rebuilding Hyrule. And helping it to regain some of its former glory and reopen to outside countries.

That last part didn't sit right with many people. But first things first.

I sighed and sat down on a bench and looked forward at the Champion's Monument.

One of my first projects was to replace the dried-up fountain in the center of town with a monument. Honoring the ones who died to the Great Calamity.

A pillar made of Gerudo gold was engraved with the names of the knights who fell. I had to ask people for the names of their grandfathers and great-grandfathers and great-great-uncles and aunts and mothers and scrounge around the Castle for a register of all the names of the knights than use process of elimination.

Needless to say, it took a while to get all the names up there. I know I'm missing a few, but they're still remembered and honored, even without their names on the pillar.

Actually, there were five pillars for all the names. The tallest one was in the center, and the other four went up to your waist and were around the taller one.

I had four smaller statures built on the smaller pillars. They could probably fit in your hand. But still weighed a bunch.

There was a statue of a prideful Rito, a graceful Zora, a powerful Goron, and a loving Gerudo.

The blue scraps of fabric made by me from memory.

Some Zora stonemasons created a miniature diadem and other jewelry for the Zora that looked nearly identical to the originals.

Isha, a Gerudo made the jewelry and accessories for her matriarch.

Miniature replicas of their weapons glinted in each of the Champions' hands.

I sighed. I missed them so much. If I could go back in time to save them, I would without a moment's hesitation.

Well, a little hesitation to pack and drag Link back in time with me.

I thumbed my hair in thought. I had cut it a few weeks after Ganon was sealed. It had kept getting in the way and it's better not to have hair in your face when trying to shoot a boar from 500 yards with a specialty-made bow.

"Zelda?" A voice called.

I whipped around.

Link was standing there, with the heroes. They all looked woozy and nauseous. One with a multicolored tunic was being held by... Twilight? If my memory serves?

Link must've taken them on a teleportation ride.

I stood up, stepped up and jumped off the bench and ran into Link's arms.

"Link!" I cried. "I was so worried!"

Link held me with a tight grip. I know they had missed me as well.
