Time's POV

There was a silence as everyone took in Wild's hero title.

"Not bad." Legend said. "This place is obviously more wilderness than civilization."

Wild winced.

I came to stand behind Wild, facing my fellow heroes.

"We're glad to welcome you to the group." I said. I put my hand on Wild's shoulder. I opened my mouth to say something else, but I never got a chance to.

Wild flinched violently under my touch.

Everyone studied him with concern. Especially Twilight.

Wild just stared into the flames. "Sorry." He whispered, too shaken to sign.

"It's okay." Four said gently, his eyes flashing red.

Wild didn't talk for the rest of the night. I volunteered for second watch since our newest addition was on first.

When Wild woke me up a few hours later, I expected him to pull out a sleeping bag too, but instead, he climbed the nearest tree with ease.

Wild laid down in its branches, looking right at home.

———

When I woke the next morning, I did so to the delightful smell of Wild's cooking.

I opened my eye and saw all of the other heroes sitting eagerly around the cooking pot, waiting for breakfast to be served.

I smiled.

"Weren't you going to wake me?" I asked playfully.

Legend glanced back at me. Then, with a serious tone, he replied, "no."

Four looked at me from across the pot. "We thought that if we let you sleep in for once, we could have all the food."

I glared playfully. "Twilight? Why did you let them do this?"

"Actually..." My Protege scratched the back of his head from his spot next to Wild.

They seemed to have gained a strong relationship over the well we've known him.

"It was his idea." Warriors ratted Twi out.

Twilight glared at Wars, but there was no fire behind it, a smile played at his lips.

"Well... you are the one who convinced the others."

Warriors looked like a fish out of water as he struggled for a comeback.

We all laughed at the two's playful banter as they went back and forth, only stopping when Wild declared the food ready.

I ate the mushroom skewers with relish, as did the others.

We all came coming back for more. Soon, there was not a trace of our breakfast.

Soon after, we packed up and started moving.

Wild was in the lead.

Wind trotted up to the hero's side.

"Hey Wild?" The Sailor asked innocently.

Wild raised an eyebrow in question.

"Where can we go next? Do you know any fun places?" Wind said, curious excitement gleaming in his eyes.

Wild raised his hands to sign, Twilight came up to translate.

'Well, I thought we could all go to Rito Village. I've been meaning to visit anyway...' Wild signed nervously.

Wind's eyes grew as wide as saucers. "You have Rito!" It was more of a exclamation than a question.

Wild nodded in earnest.

'It's a few week's ride from here, but it'll be worth it.'

I smiled as the two blue-clad heroes bonded over the similarities between their homes.

"We also have these cute little wood creatures called Koroks!" Wind said excitedly.

Instead of answering, Wild dismounted and walked over to a lone rock.

We all watched curiously as Wild lifted the rock above his head.

A moment later, a Korok puffed into existence.

"Yahaha! You found me!" He handed Wild a golden seed.

Wild pocketed it and faces Wind.

'So do we.' He grinned.
