Wind's POV

The next day, another portal appeared.

Wild, Legend, and Twilight all gave a collective groan from going through a different portal just the day before.

Ever since their little 'quest', Wild's been much more talkative. Even though they're understandably more drawn to the Rancher and the Vet. They even came out to us after Twi's story!

They've really been through a lot more then we have.

Especially with the alternative Wolfie who seems to know Wild and who Wild seems to care for a lot.

And vise versa.

When we stepped through the portal, I stepped onto a hard surface, and immediately got vertigo the second I saw where we were.

The others had varying degrees of 'holy shit we're high'. Other than Four, who had promptly passed out from a) portal and b) lack of oxygen. The colors really take a lot.

Wars had also just walked into a fence, and was now holding on for dear life. As the heavier half of his body leaned out over the side.

Thankfully, Time was there to grab his scarf and tug him back onto solid land.

Sky seemed to be the only one not affected by how high in the atmosphere we were. I mean, he did grow up on a floating island tens of miles above the clouds so...

Wild was also not affected.

By the heights anyway. He was swaying from the sometimes severe nausea that comes from time travel, but was surveying our surroundings.

"We're back in my Hyrule." He announced.

I managed to reel everything in enough to take a good look around.

We were on top of a tower.

Wild's land stretched far and wide in miles for all directions. The pure majesty of it was beautiful.

A hot breeze made me look down at where we were.

To the west of us, stood a proud desert. Sand billowed up and carefully hid its secrets. But a town could be found in the distance.

And directly south of us, was a giant machine.

It was dark, like it had once been lit up, and stood as a cold reminder. As a threat to anyone daring enough to attack Hyrule.

The Gerudo ghost who travels with Wild stepped up beside me. I don't know if she knows I can see her yet, though.

"Ah," Urbosa said proudly. "There she is. Naboris, have you been lonely without me?"

The machine stayed silent. However, as the others began to take notice and awe, the beast seemed to hold itself proudly.

"I was her Champion." Urbosa said. It took me a second to realize she was talking to me. So she does know. "Yes, I can recognize a Medium when I see one. They're not as common as you think, however."

She smirked. "That right there, is Divine Beast Vah Naboris. She was named after Gerudo legend, Nabooru. I once piloted her a century ago, she was supposed to be a weapon against Ganon."

Her tone became dark and menacing. "But we were overcome by a foul beast."

I waited excitedly for her to tell me what it was. But she never did.

"Ever since Link cleansed Naboris and freed my spirit, and after Ganon was vanquished, she has stood as a symbol. A figure of courage and strength among young Vais."
