Wild's POV

Riju jumped off her throne and ran into my arms.

I laughed as she scolded me for disappearing with no preamble and without saying goodbye.

"Sorry, sorry." I said. The largest smile on my face.

"She was really worried about you y'know." Buliara said. "She spent many nights sleeping with Patricia, she was so worried."

Riju blushed. "I asked her over and over if you were okay."

"Well I am." I said, planting my hands on either one of her shoulders. "And I'm sorry I couldn't say goodbye. It was very sudden."

"Where did you go?" Riju asked curiously. She eyed me suspiciously as if I had been hiding away deep in the desert somewhere.

"The Era of Twilight." I said, pulling down my veil to reveal no smile on my face.

Riju and Buliara laughed before realizing how serious I was. Then they tried to politely cover their laughs as coughs.

"How?" Riju asked.

"Hylia sent me though a portal." I steeled myself. "Along with the eight other Chosen Heroes of Hyrule's past."

"Really?" Riju's eyes sparkled. She had always been fixated with history and was eager to learn more.

After I saved Zelda, I brought her here and she and Riju stayed up all night talking about before the Calamity.

Buliara and I had tried to drag each of them to bed but to no avail.

"Yes."

"Where are they?" Riju eyed my person like I was hiding them somewhere in my Gerudo Vai outfit, which was thin and didn't have a lot of fabric involved.

"Wasteland Tower." I didn't miss a beat.

Buliara raised an eyebrow. "Why there?"

I shrugged. "That's where Hylia dropped us off. After a lynel fight in the Great Sea."

Riju's eyes sparkled. "Great sea! Tell me all about it!"

"Well," Riju sat down on the ground. "I was separated from the group with the Heroes of Legend and Twilight. Or just Legend and Twilight. So I was in the Era of Twilight instead of the Era of the Great Sea."

Riju marveled. "I love... Legend? And Twilight's? Stories."

"I don't know much about their journeys." I said. "We don't talk much about what happened."

"Understandable." Buliara said. "The text books tell of the least desirable time in their journeys. And everyone has their secrets."

Riju nodded sullenly.

"When I take you too meet them, you can ask them about what happened." I suggested. "Then they'll tell you what they want to about what happened to them."

Riju immediately brightened.

A guard came walking briskly into the throne room. I recognized her as Baretta.

Baretta nodded at me and kneeled before Riju.

The Chieftess rose from the ground and looked kindly down at her. I stayed on the ground beside them.

"What's wrong Baretta?" Riju asked.

"There are eight men and boys waiting outside looking for a 'Wild'." Baretta said.

I sighed, drawing the attention back to me. "They're looking for me."

Baretta narrowed her eyes suspiciously. But before she could say anything, I spoke up again.

"They're no threat, they're my friends." I said. "My nickname is Wild with them."

"They the heroes?" Riju asked, eyes sparkling.

I nodded. "C'mon. Let me introduce you to my second family."

I stood up and led them outside. Baretta held her spear and Buliara clutched her claymore as she followed close behind Riju.

I walked outside, and in a flash of blue, I was wearing my Champions tunic, trousers, boots, and hood.

The Gerudo ladies didn't flinch. They knew about my born gender and my preferred gender. But they still let me in...

...As long as I wore the Gerudo Vai Outfit. They loved watching me put that on, even though I would be let in anyway.

The heroes were camping out under the hangout to the right of the entrance.

The hangover was there for travelers passing through. Or merchants trying to sell something and can't get in the door due to their gender.

They looked up at our approaching footsteps with varying expressions.

Legend looked annoyed, which made sense seeing as I left them up on a tower in the middle of a bog.

Twilight looked relieved.

Four was cautiously looking at the Gerudo over my shoulder. Including the excited Gerudo Chieftess.

They were all dirty.

"Hi." I said, waving.
