"what's this?" jack asked esmeray. he was looking at an instagram picture on his phone.
"what's what?" esmeray questioned.
"this." jack showed esmeray the picture, seeing it was her in lingerie.
"a picture." esmeray turned red and hid her face from jack. he pulled her hands away from her face and the two smiled.
"what?" esmeray chuckled.
"you look hot. really hot." jack smirked.
"be quiet." esmeray said.
the two were still laying in bed from yesterday. esmeray got up to get jack's medicine from the kitchen, and came back with the pills and water.
"it's time to take your medicine." esmeray said. she handed jack the pills and water and watched as he took them.
"good job." esmeray got back into bed and pulled the covers over her body.
"how many more days left until i can stop taking the pills?" jack asked.
"two more days." esmeray said.
jack leaned down to kiss esmeray and used his good arm to pull her on top of him. esmeray smiled into the kiss and placed her hands on either side of jack's face.
esmeray's phone dinged and she pulled away to look at it. she saw jack frown and she smiled.
"you can wait." she said.
esmeray picked up her phone and her smile immediately dropped.
auriella willow's in the hospital
now esmeray and willow weren't real good friends anymore, and she shouldn't have cared about it, but she wanted to be there for auriella.
"shit." esmeray mumbled. she got off jack and ran to her bedroom to change into more presentable clothes.
"what's wrong?" jack asked as he came into esmerays room.
"willow is in the hospital." esmeray said frantically. she grabbed her purse and threw it over her shoulder.
"i thought you two weren't friends anymore." jack furrowed his eyebrows.
"we aren't, but auriella and i are so i have to be there for her." esmeray explained.
"i'll see you tonight." esmeray kissed jack's cheek and rushed out the apartment.
esmeray got an uber to the hospital, and ten minutes later she was there. auriella spotted esmeray and ran over to her.
"thank god you're here. i know you two aren't friends anymore but i didn't know who else to call." auriella cried.
"it's fine auri. what happened to her?" esmeray asked. the two sat down in the waiting chairs and and esmeray looked at her friend.
"ever since you moved out, willow has been drinking. a lot. she told me that it wasn't about you moving out, but i know it was. i found her this morning unconscious in her bedroom." auriella told esmeray. she sniffled and esmeray hugged her.
"i know we haven't talked much since you left but i didn't have anyone else to call." auriella said.
"i know and i'm really sorry about that. i really should have talked to you, i was just angry, but you can call me anytime." esmeray comforted.
"are you here for willow morganitez?" a nurse asked, coming up to the two girls.
"yes, is she okay?" auriella asked frantically.
"she's awake now and she's in stable condition. you caught her just in time before some really bad things happened." the nurse explained.
"she can have visitors too, but only one at a time."
"you go first auri, i'll stay out here." esmeray said. auriella smiled sadly and followed the nurse to go see willow.
esmeray willow tried to kill herself, i think? she drank way too much and auriella found her unconscious this morning.
jack what? is she okay?
esmeray she's awake and stable. im gonna stay with auri for a little
jack alright, text me if you need anything. i love you.
esmeray i love you more.
esmeray put her phone in her bag as auriella came back out.
"willow wants to see you." auriella told her.
"really?" esmeray asked.
"yeah, i can show you to her room." auriella offered.
"yeah, please." esmeray stood up and followed auriella to willow's room.
they got to willow's room and esmeray looked at the door.
"i can stay out here if you want me too." auriella said.
"no it's okay. you can wait out there." esmeray smiled. she opened the door and saw willow hooked up to a machine.
willow didn't look like she was supposed to be here, and she didn't look like she had drank too much.
"hey willow." esmeray said softly.
"hi." willow replied. there was a minute of silence before willow spoke up.
"im sorry about all this. i shouldn't have drank and i shouldn't have yelled at you for being with jack." willow cried.
"im sorry willow. i shouldn't have blown up on you and not talk to you anymore." esmeray frowned.
"i miss you." willow whispered.
esmeray missed willow, but what willow said was wrong. they both knew that, but esmeray could forgive her.
"i miss you too, but what you said can't be taken back." esmeray said.
"i love jack and being with him has been so...so much better than being with anyone else. he's the one and he really cares about me." esmeray explained. willow was starting to cry, which made esmeray cry.
"im sorry esme. i never really had met him so i, i judged him because of what he did. i shouldn't have done that and it was so wrong of me." willow explained.
"i can't forget what you said but i can forgive, willow. i forgive you, but it's going to take some time for that trust to get back." esmeray explained.
"yeah, i understand." willow sighed.
"we can work on the trust if you stop drinking too much. i can't stand seeing you like this." esmeray chuckled.
