the devils were in columbus for their next game, but esmeray was back in jersey.
she decided to stay back and get caught up on even more work that she had gotten behind on. plus there was a really important class she had to go to.
after gathering her bag, she got into her uber and went to campus for her class.
"im sorry i had to pull you out of work." her professor apologized.
"it's fine. it's good to be back in class again." esmeray smiled. she pulled out her laptop and started some of her late work.
once class started, esmeray payed attention. she knew what they had been doing the past few weeks, but being back in class was unusual.
after her important class, she decided to see if her friends were in their apartment. esmeray walked to the building and made her way up to the apartment door.
esmeray knocked and patiently waited for someone to answer the door.
"esme! oh my gosh it is so good to see you. come in!" auriella exclaimed.
"it's good to see you too. where's willow?" esmeray chuckled.
"class, but what're you doing here? i thought you had an away game?" auriella asked.
"i wasnt going. there was a very important class that i couldn't miss so i had to skip going to the game." esmeray answered.
"oh. well, how's your relationship going with jack?" auriella questioned.
"great. he's just the best." esmeray blushed. her phone buzzed and she glanced down at it, seeing jack had texted her.
"did he text you?" auriella smirked. esmeray nodded her head and smiled.
jack have a good day at class. i love you. <3
"he always has something sweet to say. whenever we're separated, or even where we're in the same room. i love him." esmeray told auriella.
esmeray i love you more :)
"he is so sweet." auriella smiled.
the two continued to talk for a little while until auriella had to get ready for class. esmeray ordered an uber to take her back to her apartment.
after unlocking the door, she placed her bags onto the floor and went into the kitchen to make something to eat.
