Training III

For the next 3 days after Graduation, the Cadets would be doing drills based on each branch of Military, to help their decision in which to choose.

It was the 3rd day, and Seje was assigned to the 10th Squad, on the right side of the city, Trost. He had been
assigned to the same squad as a mysterious girl named Mikasa. He had heard, and seen that she was a combat genius.

During the training drill he tried to get to know her, a bit better.

"Hey, you're Mikasa right," He asked, "The super awesome soldier girl?"

"Is that what they are calling me now?" She replied.

"I guess, that is what they are calling you."

"Well then I guess that I am her."

"So what branch are you thinking of joining, Mikasa?"

"Why do you want to know? We only
are posted here for a few more hours, soon you'll be gone and we'll never speak again."

"Just trying to make small talk."

The small squad rounded a corner, onto a street that gave an open view of the front gate.

"I'm joining the Scouts."

"Why? You got #1 you should join the military police!"

"I'm following Eren..." She looked off toward the front gate.

"Well, I'm also joining the scouting legion."

"Why?"

"My friends and I agreed to after Titans invaded Wall Maria and killed our families."

"Oh..."

"Yeah, it sounds like something that an unoriginal author of a fan-story would write. But it's true."

"Eren is joining cause we lost our mother in Shiganshina"

"Wow, you too?"

Mikasa was cut off from responding as a rumbling explosion knocked them off of their feet. Seje sat up and looked toward the wall. A giant hand curled around the structure of the gate and steam was billowing from the hand.

As the steam cleared, he saw it, a skinless hand and an equally skinless face staring at them from the top of the wall. "We need to get to the HQ," another guy in the squad exclaimed.

Seje nodded and took out the 3dmg trigger. He fired a slender black rope from the small box resting against his right hip. The hook attached to the end made contact with a building several meters away.

He pressed a button on a firing mechanism he was holding, pushing
him off into the city. He flew with the rest of his squad and a few others who were headed in the same direction toward HQ.

A giant gust of wind sent his hook wobbling in the sky, causing him to fall onto a building. A crashing noise followed. He looked over toward the gate, a few trainees were hanging off the wall, and the colossal titan had kicked open the gate.

Most of the rocks were caught by barriers set up around the front. He looked toward the 60m titan attacking the wall. A figure appeared to be fighting it, but he couldn't see, a giant gust of white smoke enveloped the red creature for a few moments.

When the smoke cleared, the titan was nowhere to be seen.

He turned around and continued his journey toward the HQ.

Once Seje had arrived to HQ, he was instructed to fill his gas and meet with his squad. He looked for Sera and Victor, and saw them around a corner.

"Sera, Victor," Seje interjected, "They changed our Squad arrangements. Are you still with each other?"

"No Seje, Victor is on a Squad near the back, and I'm toward the front." Sera stated, "although I'm with Mikey, Mackenzie, and Olivia."

"Keep them safe, Sera."

"I will."

With that, Seje walked off and toward the Billboard where Squad assignments were. 'Squad 31,' the board listed, 'Seje Amarillo, Lauri Dansk, Shade Mochs, Daniel Sett, Bryan Varksi, and Maxine Yolanda.'

At least I'm with Lauri, Seje thought. After meeting with the others in his squad, they headed outside to get a brief on what their mission was.

A scary speech by the commander made several of the cadets panic, but it was short-lived as they realized duty called.

Seje and Lauri joined the rest of their squad on a rooftop nearby two guys who were yelling at squads, signaling them to advance.

"This is it?" asked Lauri.

"No, we'll survive, look at Eren Jäger's squad, they seem ok." Seje responded.

"I hope you are right." Daniel piped in.

They looked at Eren's squad fly into the distance.
