Seje stood upon the rooftops with the other cadets. They had been stuck around the southwest area of Trost for awhile. "Look all I'm saying is that if we go now, we don't have to deal with the titans that are going to come into Trost," Victor stated.

"Why are you so set on not going Seje," Kayla asked, "You seem to have no problem taking titans down."

"Me, sure, but I don't want to lose you guys," Seje replied.

"I think you're lying about how well you did in battle," Victor said.

"Why the hell are you trying to tell me I'm lying, you're the one who said you did great, then three minutes later Reiner tells us how you were shitting yourself the whole time," Seje exclaimed, "I just lost 3 of my friends and my god damn sister, sorry I wasn't on a squad that didn't get put in the path of titans."

Everyone was silent. They didn't know Mackenzie had died, Seje hadn't told them. Kayla tried to console him, but he walked off toward Lauri and Maxine before she could.

"Good job, Kayla," Victor remarked.

"Hey, shut it before I feed you to the titans," Kayla said.

Kayla and Victor watched as a girl walked up to the front of the rooftop area they were standing on. She began to give a speech about how weak everyone was.

"Is that Mikasa?" Victor inquired.

"Yeah, what is she thinking!?" Kayla wondered.

Mikasa jumped off the edge of the building and flew off toward the grey castle sitting on the hill a few kilometers away. Jean, another trainee, yelled to the rest of the cadets not to leave a soldier behind and followed her. A boy named Marco followed him off the roof. Some girl teased the cadets before following them.

Victor and Kayla watched several cadets fly off of the rooftops. They then decided to follow them to HQ.

"Remember to conserve gas, Victor, we don't have much left," Kayla stated. Victor nodded and leaped onto the rooftop in front of them. Kayla leaped seconds after him, her legs coming up close to her chest, then falling back onto the hard shingles. A girl named Nia, who had been in the same squad as Kayla, came up next to her.

"Kayla, hey," Nia said.

"Hey, Nia."

"How are we gonna see any of the titans if it's raining?"

"I'm not sure, this wasn't well thought out."

"I agree."

"I still am glad we are heading to HQ though."

"Me too, hm, the others are getting ahead of us, let's catch up."

As soon as Nia said that, she jumped off the side of the roof and fired two hooks into buildings nearby. Kayla followed her, shooting a hook into a tower in the distance. Kayla watched as Mikasa took down a titan and turned a corner. I wonder how she goes so fast, Kayla thought. Suddenly a giant hand appeared from beside her, a titan!
