The Reclamation of Trost I

Seje ran across the Wall with the rest of his squad. They were in charge of spotting titans trying to get through to Eren. They weren't quite as close to the front gate as the elite squads were.

He flinched when he heard the thundering roar coming from a recently transformed Eren. "Right, soldiers, listen up!" His captain yelled, "Stay in groups, and just make sure no titans get by you."

"Yes, ma'am!" The squad saluted. Seje took guard with Sera and a member of the Garrison. He scanned the horizon of the city. Looking in wait for titans.
It had been several minutes before anyone tried making conversation.

"So cadets, what branch are you thinking of joining?" the Garrison member asked.

"I think I'll go into the Garrison," Sera said.

"I'm joining the Scouting Legion," Seje replied.

The Garrison member glared at him for a minute. "Whatever you wish, suicidal maniac."

Seje glowered at the Garrison member. "You may be my superior bu-" Sera tried to interrupt him, but Seje brushed her off. "But I will sit here and tell you for days why I'm not going to join the Garrison."

The Garrison Member squeaked with laughter, "Then go ahead."

"For one I'm not a coward, I'm okay with facing scary challenges if it benefits humanity," Seje explained, "For second, I don't want anyone to have to experience what people in Wall Maria experienced five years ago."

The Garrison member tried to retort, but a titan had appeared. "It's 15m tall!" Sera screamed. "Let's take it out then," yelled Seje. He jumped off of the roof and fired his hook into a tower. His hair quivered in the wind as he glided around the tower and back toward the titan. It swung it's hand out to catch him, but he swooped around it.

Seje fired a hook into the titan's shoulder, and twisted in the air. As he came upon the nape, he drew his swords back behind him. Once Seje reached the nape, he rushed by and slashed. A pillar of steam was released as the flesh tore away from the titan's body.

There was a giant crash, and the titan lifelessly fell to the ground. It's face twisted into a dismal frown. Seje swerved around a building and landed on top of the slanted shingles.

He watched in admiration at Sera. She took out a particularly small titan. She leaned back and twisted giving her enough speed to cut it's head right off. She shot two hooks into the lip of the building Seje stood on. As she landed, she curved her knees and kept her balance.

"Sera, remind me how you didn't get in the top 10, again?" Seje asked.

"Well, I suck shit at school remember," Sera grinned.

Seje turned, and immediately stopped smiling. There was a titan of about 10 meters looking at Seje and Sera. The top half The Garrison Member dangling out of it's mouth. Seje rushed across the rooftop and boosted off of it, just dodging the abnormally long arm of the titan.

Seje turned behind him and looked for Sera. She was standing on a different rooftop now. "Sera," he called out, "Go for the nape after I cut the ankles!" Seje adjusted his speed and curled his legs as he came toward a building. He shot hooks into the back of the titan's right ankle and pushed off of the side of the building.

Seje soared toward the ground and the titan's ankle. He readied his swords and released his hooks. He slashed the titan's Achille's tendon open, and shot a hook up into a building. He soared into the air and past Sera before hitting the ground.

Sera shot a hook past the titan's nape and adjusted her swords. She glided past the nape, slicing it clean off.
The titan fell backwards into a building and began to evaporate.

Sera landed next to Seje once again. "We've gotten pretty dumb titans so far, I hope the other part of the squad is having the same luck," Seje wished.

Truth is the other three in the squad had been having good luck. Although, their luck had just begun to run out.
