"What a game that was." I say to James as he unlocks the door to our house, letting us both in before closing it behind him.

"It was intense that's for sure. But so happy we got the win." He says and I nod.

"Definitely." I say wrapping my arms around his neck before bringing my lips to his.

"I wish I could've kissed you there." I say after we pull away and James sighs.

"I know. It's so fucking hard but we're doing the right thing." He says placing his hands on either side of my face and I smile.

"Yeah." I say and he smiles, leaning in and placing a kiss on my forehead.

"Are you hungry?"

"I actually am." He says and I nod, walking over to the pantry and having a look at what I could possibly make us to eat.

"Hmm, I could make some carbonara." I suggest and James nods.

"That sounds lovely." He says and I smile as I watch him head up stairs.

The game today was a classic. The Hawks boys played pretty well and managed to knock off the Cats by 12 points, with Mitch Lewis kicking the sealer to win the Hawks the game.

Dylan kicked 4 goals, with James being subbed on nearly halfway through the game as Ned Reeves went down with a shoulder injury which was unfortunate for him.

Overall the game was pretty entertaining.

I grab the pasta sauce out of the cupboard, along with the pasta, placing it on the bench as I grab a pot out.

I walk over to the sink, turning the tap on and pouring some water in it, before walking back over to the stove and turning it on, letting the water boil.

I just bought the creamy sauce from Coles as who can be bothered making it these days.

I chop up some bacon so that I can toss that through whilst the Pasta is absorbing the sauce.

The water finally starts boiling in the pot so I chuck the pasta in, letting it cook a bit before turning it off.

I chuck the pasta, the sauce and bacon into a deep pan and let it simmer through. The pasta should absorb the creamy sauce and also cook the bacon and pasta.

Whilst that's cooking I set the table up, placing a table cloth on the table. I head over to the cupboard, grabbing some bowls out and placing it on the bench near the stove.

I am busy running around, organising things in the kitchen when James comes down the stairs, towel in hand. I watch him as he dries his hair with the towel as he walks to the laundry before coming into the kitchen and investigating how the pasta is coming along.

"Nearly done?" He asks and I chuckle.

"Yes. It should be." I say and he smiles as he walks over to me and places a kiss on the top of my head.

"So you do know how to cook." He laughs referring to the time we had a cooking competition and the cake turned into a disaster.

"Of course I do." I say with a laugh and he smiles.

"Well, it smells good, so hopefully it tastes good." He says and I smile.

"It's ready, so you'll be able to tell me." I say walking over to the stove and turning it off and James smiles.

I grab a spoon, scooping some into a bowl before handing it to James who smiles at me again.

"Thank you my love." He says which makes my heart skip a beat, and butterflies to arise in my stomach.
