"like mother, like daughter"
it was a sentence that was always welcome because it was meant as a compliment. isn't it a privilege to be likened to mayumi sakusa?
yukie grinned at you as you entered the lobby of the hotel you both were staying at, looking absolutely stunning in a black dress that boldly cut out at the midriff and extended upto your back.
'conservative' was not really a dressing style that ran in your family.
you slipped your arm through hers, walking ahead with shinsuke following behind you closely.
"i forgot how good looking kita-san is", yukie gushed, glancing over her shoulder at the physique of the serious looking man.
"he's not single", you informed regretfully and then she whined.
"who's the lucky girl?", she frowned and sighed, "and how serious is it?"
"god knows", you chuckled, even though you absolutely knew who he was seeing, "but i think it's fairly serious"
"good for him", yukie looked back at him wistfully, "if he ever happens to be single again though~"
"i'll let you know, love"
"you're a true friend"

the casino was bustling when you arrived. the architecture was exquisite, and people were definitely well dressed. the atmosphere was filled with exclamations of winning, protests on losing, shuffling of cards and the clicking of chips against each other.
you had certainly made quite the entrance.
you could feel the gaze of people on you, probably owing to the fact that you had bodyguards following you (plural because your mother wasn't sure of how safe you'd be with only kita).
yukie looked around till she found the table where two identical looking men were engaged in a fierce game of poker, encouraged by the crowd of cheering onlookers.
"i hardly think this is a good idea", you fake sighed, "they seem happy. i don't wanna burst their little bubble."
"you know, with that ego, you could totally pull off being a lawyer", yukie remarked, "come by the firm sometime"
"i definitely will", you laughed, and you saw the attention of the miyas' table slowly shift to you.
atsumu looked at you with a look of amusement, nodding in greeting and looking at his twin.
you smiled cockily as soon as your gaze locked with the other miya twin's. his demeanour was passive but his gaze held contempt, flickering over to you from yukie and then lingering.
"hi shirofuku!", atsumu waved to the girl, who smiled and greeted both the twins before going around the table.
"ms.sakusa, it's such a pleasure to meet you", the people who had been intimidated to greet you earlier in the day began to come upto you.
"it's so nice to meet you too", you smiled, mentally noting everything everyone told you about themselves.
the day had been interesting, but no one really said anything that you didn't already know. and it wasn't as if watching people fawn over your mom was even slightly new to you.
"isn't this a surprise?", you were interrupted by the quiet voice of the miya twin that had locked eyes with you earlier.
"yukie insisted", you smiled back at osamu, sickly sweet, "is that a problem, mr. miya?"
