“Jayson,” I heard a voice whisper in my ear. I opened one eye to see Noah hovering above my head. I pulled the covers over my head as Noah continued to say my name.

“Jayson,” Noah said shoving me lightly. “Get up. It’s like five in the afternoon.”

“I’m exhausted,” I muttered.

“Please,” Noah groaned pulling my arm. I groaned as I slid further into my bed. Noah was persistent though. I grabbed his arm and pulled him into bed with me. I threw the covers over both of us as I held him tightly in my arms. He squirmed.

I kissed him on the neck as he pushed me away from him.

“You don’t love me anymore?” I teased running my fingers through his blonde hair.

“You’re being annoying,” Noah chuckled.

“You’re one to talk,” I snorted. “So what’s going on? Do anything exciting while I was sleeping?”

“I sent my letter in agreeing to play soccer for Georgetown,” he said. “I also picked up my tux for prom.”

“Prom?” I said aloud. “Oh joy! Prom!”

“Yeah,” he nodded.

“So you managed to find a date?” I teased.

“Yes I have a date,” Noah grinned. “Someone asked me believe it or not.”

“Anyone I know?” I asked curiously. Noah went silent for a moment, nodding casually.

“Who?” I persisted.

“Liam asked me and I said yes,” Noah admitted.

“Wait? What? Liam is your prom date,” I said in shock.

“I know what you’re thinking Jayson – “he began.

“Oh you couldn’t possibly,” I interjected getting out of bed. I couldn’t believe he was going with Liam. Did he honestly think I would be alright with this? He hooked up with the guy? And Liam obviously has a crush on him. I shook my head as I walked into my kitchen.

“You’re mad,” Noah said following me. “Don’t be mad.”

“I’m not mad,” I huffed. “I’m infuriated.”

“Infuriated? I didn’t even know you knew what that word meant,” Mason teased.

“Not the time Mason,” I growled.

“Excuse me, I didn’t know there was a quarrel in lover’s paradise,” Mason sighed. I narrowed my eyes at him as Daniel glanced at all of us.

“What’s going on, guys?” he asked.

“Well since everyone wants to be in my business,” I snorted. “I’ll just tell you all. You’re going to listen anyways. Noah is going to prom with Liam. I don’t want him to go with Liam because we all know Liam’s feelings regarding Noah.”

“Yeah that dude totally has the hots for Noah,” Daniel agreed.

“Thank you, buddy,” I said glaring at Noah. “At least someone agrees with me.”

“I have no feelings for Liam,” Noah asserted. “I love you, Jayson. And you know there is no one that I would rather go to prom with than you.”

“Sure,” I huffed.

“Jayson, stop being a dick,” Mason said. “What do you want Noah to go by himself?”

“I’d rather he did,” I huffed. “And how does your father feel about this?”
