Friday came much quicker than you anticipated. There were no classes on Fridays, so you took advantage of the slow morning to sleep in and relax. You woke up around 10 am and laid in bed, mindlessly scrolling through social media. Eventually one of Mikasa's posts appeared on your Instagram feed. It was a picture of her and Sasha with their slender arms wrapped around each other, Sasha's smile wide while Mikasa flashed her soft smile on the first day of school. Connie was in the distant background throwing up peace signs. The caption read "Senior year".

You sighed and clicked on her profile. For some reason it stung to know that these people you already cared about had so many memories and such an extended history that you weren't a part of. You continued to scroll through her profile, jealousy twinging inside of you at all the fun the group of friends seemed to have together. She had also uploaded posts of her work out routine, her family, and various spots in Shiganshina. Overall it was very on brand for Mikasa.

You continued to scroll down her profile until you came across a group picture at what seemed like a party. The background was dark, and the people in the photo were bunched together clumsily. You recognized everybody you've been sharing lunch with. There were others you didn't know, like a petite blonde girl wrapped in the arms of a taller freckled one. A short haired brunette with freckles, giving Jean bunny ears with his fingers. A girl wearing her blonde hair in a bun, her mouth barely curved into a smile, looking at a pale blonde boy.

You realized that you recognized the boy staring back at the blonde stranger. You combed your memories to try to decipher where you'd seen him before. You gave up when nothing came to mind and assumed that he was in one of your classes, and your eyes continued to scan the photo. Sasha and Connie were laughing candidly. Jean smirked into the camera. Your gaze found Reiner, a grin across his face and his arms crossed against his wide chest.

Your eyes travelled the picture until they landed on the last person who was sitting on the ground in front of everyone. His eyes were squinted as he flashed a bright smile, showing off his pristine white teeth. It was Eren, the same one from the tea shop and the same one who interrupted your lunch. This only confirmed that he was indeed the same Eren that Mikasa mentioned.

You couldn't help but feel disappointed. He was important to Mikasa, and you wanted to try your best to like him and get along for her when you inevitably met him. But now that you already had, he bothered you. It didn't take much to understand why the others talked about him the way they did. Sure, you didn't know much about him quite yet, but there was no mistaking that he was a cocky son of a bitch.

You quickly began following the tagged profiles of the people you've met so far, including Reiner. Your thumb lingered over your screen for a second longer before clicking on Eren's profile. To your surprise, you had already been following him.

That must have been what he did when he grabbed your phone at lunch yesterday.

Part of you wanted to unfollow him only to deprive him of his satisfaction. The more rational side of you knew that it was a dumb idea, as you were bound to be around him as his friends were now your friends. He only had three pictures posted to his profile: one of himself staring blankly into the camera, one of what you knew to be his hand decorated with rings and holding a blunt, and one of him, Mikasa, and the same blonde boy who you now guessed to be Armin, as kids. All three pictures were in black and white.

You began to analyze them when a notification appeared. After clicking on it, your messages opened and revealed that an unknown number had texted you.

XXX-XXX-XXXX
Hey. Are you coming to Armin and Annie's tonight?
