chapter 14 a blossoming friendship

sage was in tears and had run into her dorm. the poor girl was heartbroken as she sitting in the corner of the room crying her eyes out there was a knock on the door and in came, Lilly "sage are you alright?" Lilly rushes to her side and hugs her, sage looks at Lilly and tells her everything, the potion, the kiss, her diary, and what had just happened. Lilly looked shocked and could tell that sage was truly heartbroken about this.

Lilly sits with sage and notices her raven in its cage "and what this lovely birdies name " she says cheerfully trying to distract her "oh that's Flynn" sage says while sniffling away "Lilly could you do me a favor" "of course what's up" sage asked Lilly to go find may Lilly nodded and went on her way 

(lillys pov)

as she goes to find sage she sees Lucius walking towards sages room "Malfoy!" Lilly was furious but didn't show it, she walked right up to him and said in a firm tone "leave sage alone she doesn't need you making her more upset than she already is due to your actions" she glares at him and walks past him as he's standing there looking numb 

(Lucius pov)

sage had just walked away leaving him alone with Narcissa as she moved closer he scowled at her coldly "what's the matter luci?" she asks acting all sweet towards him "don't call me that"he says coldly "don't speak to me like that I am your girlfriend" Lucius looks her dead in the eyes and says "your only my girlfriend because my father wants the bloodline to remain pure, you mean nothing to me". and with that, he stood up and walked away

he had gone to explain to sage that it wasn't his choice it was his father who had decided he had to be with Narcissa, he wanted to tell her that he cared for her and he wanted to be with her, only her 

as he made his way to her dorm someone called his name. it was Lilly Evans the gave him a stern look and said to him coldly leave her alone you already hurt her enough. that crushed him he never wanted her to be sad or unhappy , especially not because of him 

a few days have passed and classes have begun as usual and sage has been moved into slughorns potions class. she was partnered with Lucius, he felt bad for hurting her but she just looked numb, like she had no feeling.

they had a potions project and had to brew a potion called anima comes inventor. slughorn did not tell them what the potion did he wanted us to find out ourselves. 

sage had agreed to meet Lucius in the astronomy tower after curfew to finish the potion as she was busy the rest of the day 

(sages pov)

her and Lucius had agreed to meet up later but before she could think about that she remembered she had quidditch practice so she went to get her kit and made her way to the pitch 

(imagine that there uniform is like the Ravenclaw one but with the same blue as there uniform)

sage is grabbing her things and making her way to the quidditch pitch when she sees James potter flipping Severus upside down and removing his clothing she was full of rage and walked over to him wand in hand and threw him across the field and with that she used her non-magic skills to beat the shit out of him 

when Remus and serious where going to intervene they decided against it and ran to find Lilly

sage is holding James by his neck and looks him straight into his eyes and says "you ever touch my brother again so help me merlin  I will use every single unforgivable curse on you with no hesitation" and with that she let go and went to help her brother. he said he was fine but just to be safe he came to watch the quidditch practice.

once the session had concluded she and Severus returned to her dorm. as soon as Severus had sat down he started to sob so sage did what she always did she sat by him and comforted him. she stayed by his side and did everything she could to try to make it better.

she looks at him "do you want me to take it out?" she was referring to how she would remove these bad memories and keep them locked away in case he ever needed them.

Severus looked at her and with tears in her eyes all he could say was "please..."

so she did she removed the memory and put it in a small vial with the others she also gave him a small potion to help him sleep. she then used a spell to carry him back to his room and leave him in his bed 

as she was walking back to her dorm she remembered she had ti meet lucius so that's where she went.
