chapter 16 first match

it was early morning and sage had a pounding headache from the night before. she had decided to open a bottle of fire whisky to try and calm herself. indeed it did help but it had consequences.

she glanced at the clock and remembered the first match of the tournament was today. so she dragged herself out of bed and got dressed in her uniform as she did every morning and went to the great hall for breakfast. 

when she arrived she had noticed that Severus was not there as Lucius was sitting alone, so she decided to go sit with him. he saw her and greeted her with a smile.

"good morning sage how are you feeling about the upcoming match?" he asked with a look of curiosity, sage let out a quiet laugh "ill be honest I'm nervous as fu-" she almost swears but stops herself as she remembers what had happened last time she swore. the memories were playing over and over in her head and she felt a tear come to her eye she pushed down her fears to try to act like she was alright but Lucius noticed and took her hands in his and held them tightly, then he said to her 

"Hey hey hey sage listen to me you're safe, you're not near her, that woman cant hurt you now". he is stroking her hand with his thumb in an attempt to calm her. an attempt that was working quite well

as he was stroking her hand she gazed into his eyes and he gazed into hers, it felt like time had stood still and that it was just them in their own little world 

but sage was brought back to reality when she remembered that she had a game to get ready for so she excused herself to get ready. as she was leaving she stopped and turned around and said to Lucius "you're coming to the game aren't you, it won't be the same if I don't see you in the crowd". Lucius looked her in the eyes and said "I wouldn't miss it for the world" sage smiled and runs off to her dorm to get her kit on for the match 

sage had her kit on and was waiting to fly onto the pitch with the rest of her team. she was very nervous as she had heard rumors of how good the Gryffindor team where tho she was nervous she was still confident that she could win. 

the team mounts their brooms and makes their way onto the pitch, the crowd cheers and sage swears she could hear Lucius in the crowd that made her giggle 

just as shes giggling the cwofle and snitch are released 

(Lucius pov)

the match had just begun and Lucius had his eyes on sage. he was fascinated by her every move and she made him so proud. as he was focused on her he failed to notice Narcissa sitting there next to him he scowled at her presence he really hated her.

Narcissa tried to get his attention over and over again but he was mesmerized by sage and that made narcissas blood boil so she decided it would be fun to mess with her a little bit 

(Narcissa pov)

she slipped away from Lucius fairly easily due to him not paying attention. she stood herself at the bottom of the pitch and locked her eyes on sage and took out her wand and began muttering an incantation 

sages broom started to jerk about and were out of her control 

the whole crowd gasped when she was thrown off the end of her broom 

then she hit the ground and lay there lifeless, she watches as the teachers run to her side and she watches in horror as Lucius does the same, that's when she realized that she might have just killed her so she made a swift getaway. 

(sage pov)

 it felt cold and she felt a sharp pain shoot through her body the last thing she could remember was the crowds gasping and screaming in terror after that it all went black
