sage had awoken in the guest room she was sleeping in, she looked at a clock and it read four thirty-five. sage wondered what had possessed her to be awake this early in the morning so she decided to go for a walk.

she slipped on her boots and walked out towards the gardens. she had no idea what made her want to go there but it felt like something was pulling her there. as she walked through the grounds she stumbled upon a lake with a memorial next to it the name read "rose Malfoy, beloved lady Malfoy, loving mother, and wife to her son and husband"
sage was looking at the resting place of Lucius's mother
she sat there for a moment looking across the lake and watching as the insects made little ripples in the water. she sat and listened to the sound of the water and wildlife made her feel so at peace.
then she felt a hand on her shoulder
she turned around to see a woman looking down at her. the woman had red wavy hair and emerald green eyes. sage stared for a moment
the woman spoke "you can see me cant you" sage was stunned "of course, I can see you your just a person" the woman chuckled at the woman "my name is rose I see you stumbled upon the memorial my husband made for me" sage looked shocked. she was speaking to the ghost of her boyfriend's mother.

as sage was trying to process the fact she was talking to her boyfriend's deceased mother she remembered something she had read before in the book of famous witches and wizards, she remembered that only one witch was able to speak to the deceased. that witch was the well-known ravina Ravenclaw. other than her no one was able to comprehend the idea let alone achieve it
almost as quickly as rose had appeared she disappeared when there was the sound of someone approaching. sage ran and hid behind a tree
she saw the same house-elf from before placing a bunch of fresh flowers on the grave and cleaning it up
then the elf sat down and spoke to the grave as if it was a person. updating it on all that had happened over the past few days such as Lucius's grades and quidditch matches and surprisingly the elf spoke about sage. she decided to listen and she heard the elf say
"master Lucius has brought a girl home, miss, miss sage he calls her, she is kind and sweet much like you where mistress. he really loves her miss." the elf continued
"that is all dobby has to tell miss now but dobby will come back and tell miss more when he knows it"
sage realized after the elf had walked away that before she died she had asked him to tell her everything after she was gone.
sage began to feel cold and decided it was best if she headed back to the manor before she got sick
when she returned she walked up the stairs but she bumped into a somewhat familiar face," miss snape what are you doing up at this hour" sage spoke "my apologies Mr. Malfoy I was on my way back to bed I went on a walk to clear my head"
she nodded her head as a sign of respect and said "good evening Mr.Malfoy" and made her way back to her room
sage sat back into bed and thought to herself did I really just talk to a fucking ghost, sage was both amazed and horrified by her discovery
if she could do that what else could she do, she wondered how powerful she truly was.
