chapter 24 a day on the town

sage woke again and it was about eight in the morning so she decided to go wake Lucius 

she knocked gently on his door but there was no reply so she quietly slipped into his room without a sound  

she saw Lucius asleep on his bed, he was wearing a pair of grey sweats and wasn't wearing a shirt therefore his muscles were indeed exposed 

it was a cloudy day but the sun was still peeking through the clouds giving it a wonderful gold glow 

she sat next to Lucius and decided to wait for him to wake and just hope it doesn't take too long, as it turned out sage was not patient enough to wait for him to wake up so she decided to take matters into her own hands and started playing with his hair.

low and behold it worked and he woke up almost instantly 

tho he was awake he was still in a daze 

after a moment he realized it was sage who had waken him and he gave her a warm smile and invited her to lay with him for a while

sage cuddled in next to him as he held her close 

as she lay on his chest he spoke to her in his croaky morning voice "is there anything you would like to do today love" sage blushed as he had never called her love before, and after a moment she replied, "I don't mind to be honest". Lucius chuckled 

after a moment Lucius spoke again "how about I take you shopping, we could get you a dress for the annual spring dance my father holds" sage smiled "that sounds lovely but I need to go to the bank first I didn't think to bring any cash with me to school" Lucius then stopped her 

"I'm not letting you spend a single cent, I will buy you whatever dress you like, and I shall spoil you like the princess you are". sage tried to protest but eventually, she gave in.

about an hour later the two finally got up and got themselves ready for the day ahead 

sage threw on a dark blue skirt with a floral pattern with a yellow sweater, she also there on some brown ankle boots 

once she was dressed she put on a small amount of makeup as she did every day. she then brushed her hair letting it fall down by her shoulders and letting its natural curls flourish 

once she was ready she slipped her wand into the waistband of her skirt and went to find Lucius 

once she found him he was wearing a white shirt and black trousers and he was having trouble tieing his gorgeous blond  hair into a ponytail so sage decided she would help without saying a word 

when she had finished he turned around and gave her a warm smile and kissed her passionately, she could tell his heart was full of lust and dare she say, love...

by this time they were in town browsing different shops until one caught their eye, it was a shop that they hadn't seen before so they, of course, had to have a look 

when they entered it turned out to be a boutique

there were fabulous dresses all around the shop which seemed to be empty 

after about five minutes of browsing the shop floor, a woman approached them 

"Hello sorry I was in the back didn't hear ye come in" the woman was speaking in what sounded like an Irish accent. "what can I do for you two on this fine day"

Lucius spoke up "we are here to find a dress for this beautiful young lady". the woman smiled and nodded and led sage into a back room where she took her measurements 

over the next two hours, sage tried on many dresses but not once did she feel like herself until the woman brought in a dark green dress with a lace bodice and a silk-like skirt with lace details

as soon as sage tried it on she knew it was the one she loved it. it felt as if it was made for her 

She and Lucius agreed that she would not show him until the party as an element of a surprise 

sage hadn't felt this happy in quite some time, Lucius had definitely made this a day to remember
