As Venus was deep in thought she pulled open the door to the library and set the two plants she was carrying down on the front desk. The librarian, Madame Pince, looked at her fondly. "Thank you Ms. Snow, tell Professor Sprout that I appreciate the supply of Valerian roots. I've needed a stronger dose of my Draught of Peace with all the craziness going on."
"No problem Madame, let me know if you'd like to take a day off, I can talk to the Headmaster about stepping in for a day."
"You are so much like your father child, a godsend. He said the same thing to me in his years at Hogwarts." She praised, making the girl smile. "Shame the Valerians aren't in bloom though, they're beautiful to look at before I dig them up."
Venus smiled and took out her wand. "Orchideous"
The buds on the roots sprouted open and bloomed into pale violet flowers. The librarian smiled and thanked her as she walked away.
"Nice trick Ice Princess." she heard from behind her and she turned around to a smirking blonde. His friends beside him looked at her monotonically but affectionately.
"Thanks Draco. Are you looking for a book?"
"No, just you."
She blushed darkly and pointed her wand out at Crabbe and Goyle.
"Herbifors."
Small flowers sprouted up along the boy's hair and littered their heads. She burst out laughing at their shocked faces and waved her wand again as she walked away with a: "Reparifarge."
