She appeared at another fireplace in a lavishly decorated room. She looked up to see a familiar blonde boy sitting in a velvet armchair flipping through a book. He was in a crisp, elegant black suit. Venus tried to carefully evade the boys line of sight but froze when his voice pierced the air.

"Trying to escape Ice Princess?"

He looked up and turned his head to look at her. His eyes widened at the sight of her. Her dress made her look like she was dripping diamonds in a royal green sea. Her makeup accentuated her natural features and made her eyes appear bigger. Her hair was up, which was a first for the boy to see. Up in a loosely braided bun, tendrils of free hair cascading around her face.

Her necklace bounced on her chest proudly, moon pendant shining in the dim lighting.

"Something wrong?" She asked as his rather harsh demeanor turned to soft awe quickly.

"You look... Gorgeous." He said, offering his arm to take her into the ballroom. "Shall we?"

Venus grasped her necklace and almost willingly took his arm but reluctantly pulled back.

"Is...is Pansy here?" she mumbled.

"What?"

"Is Pansy here?"

"No way in Salazar's bright mind would my mother ever let that tramp into the house. One night, just one night of you not being mad at me, that's all I ask Ice Princess."

The ravenette looked into his gray eyes and took his arm.

"One night. Don't get used to it, you still owe Hermione an apology."

Draco looked at her slightly surprised but nodded at her request.

"If it will help earn your forgiveness I'll do anything."

"Noted."

The two walked into the large, extravagant ballroom. The walls were lined in a plush dark gray velvet and everything within looked expensive and mysterious.

"Venus! There you are, Snowflake!" she heard her father say from one of the standing cocktail tables. Her parents were standing besides the Malfoy's and a few other adults.

"Sorry for coming late Mr. and Mrs. Malfoy, I'm afraid the touches to my dress took longer than anticipated." Venus apologized with a curtsey. Narcissa Malfoy greeted her with a kiss on the cheek and her husband with a bow of his head.

"You made this gorgeous dress? No wonder your mother told me that your dress was going to be extravagant, it's utterly beautiful." The woman said, tracing some of the fabric with her finger. "What kind of diamond is this? I've never seen one sparkle like this before."

Venus looked at her mother and smiled.

"It's not any type of diamond Ma'am, it's ice."

Lucius chuckled. "You Snow's and your eye for anything shiny. Layla remember when-"

And like that the adults went right back into their reminiscing of old times. Venus smiled at the sight of her parents having a good time and turned back to the boy who still held her arm poised.

"Would you like to dance Ice Princess?" the blonde offered, tilting his head towards the dance floor. Couples were waltzing around, and younger children were being taught to dance by parents or older kids.

"Yes."

They danced in sync with the other pairs on the dance floor and Venus even found herself smiling as Draco twirled her around gracefully. As the song ended and the couples bowed and curtsied to each other, the blonde boy once again offered his arm to her and guided her to the refreshment table where their parents were.

"Very impressive dancing young man, your father taught you well." Copernicus Snow saod to the young Malfoy.

"Thank you sir, it helped that I had a great partner."

"Yes I see Layla's hint of flare in her dancing, I'll never forget how gracefully she stepped on me with her heels as we practiced dancing for the Yule Ball." Lucius chuckled, getting a light smack on the arm from Layla Snow.

"Venus dear, your mother tells me you like to sing. Would you like to take the stage?" Narcissa Malfoy inquired. It was less of a question and more of a demand as she looked to her mother for guidance.

"Go on Snowflake." she encouraged, and her father gave her a thumbs up.

"I'd be honored ma'am."

"Draco take her to the stage and have the band know what she wants to sing."

"Yes mother." The boy replied, escorting Venus away by the arm.

"Those two will be good together." The mother commented to the other.

"I agree, and our grandchildren will be adorable." Layla Snow chimed in, making her husband stiffen with uncomfort.
