Reunited

The next few weeks were harsh, as they were being quarantined for safety and more people (and cats) were getting petrified.

Draco sat beside Venus' cot with his books and homework, checking on her in between every class and free period. He wished that Professor Sprout would work faster on the cure, he didn't care if the girl hated him, he only wanted her awake and smiling again. Willow and Ethan noticed that the blonde would go regularly to see her and they accepted it. Knowing he was just as, if not more concerned than they were. The three actually became quite friendly over that time, as they sat by the girl's cot and talked, sometimes about studies and sometimes about their lives. Crystal had also done her part in flying to alert her parents of the situation, as requested by Dumbledore; opting for the rest of the time to stay perched at the end of the cot. Willow would feed her regularly and even caught Draco giving the blue owl a treat or two when he visited. Harry, Hermione and Ron didn't visit as often but only because Draco was there frequently and Willow understood that. She knew her best friend would want to avoid the situation of them fighting and the tension in the air would only make her recovery worse.

When Willow and Ethan would visit, they would talk to her and Willow would brush her hair or wash her face, hoping to at least make her wake easier. When it started to snow, they would always open the window above her and let some trickle in for the girl before getting yelled at by Madam Pomfrey for letting the cold in. Draco kept up his visits until the end of the year, he would talk to her, explain the lessons and even read to her. Hoping that if she could hear him she would at least understand her schoolwork. For Valentine's he brought her a large bouquet of roses, later learning that the girl's favorite flowers were Snowdrops from Willow. Eventually the end of year banquet rolled around after a lot of drama about Harry Potter speaking Parseltongue and being the Slytherin Heir. The Great Hall doors opened in the middle of the banquet revealing Hermione and Venus who were talking as they walked though the grand doors. Hermione had also been petrified as well, later in the year after Christmas. She immediately ran up to Harry and Ron, giving them big hugs as Venus on the other hand, was tackled to the ground by Willow and Ethan.

"Guys!" Venus cried as she stood back up.

Willow wiped her teary eyes and hugged the girl tightly.

"We missed you so much!"

"Aw you guys...I know, I could kinda hear things when I was petrified." She explained. "Also thank you for visiting so often."

"Of course!"

Ethan hugged both girls tightly and they all smiled and cried together.

After parting, they all sat down and Venus looked towards the Slytherin table.

"He was there everyday... " Willow started, clearing her throat.

"I know...I don't know though...you know what Pansy said. I won't risk that."

Ethan and Willow looked at each other and smiled, looking back at the girl.

"Pansy won't touch us." Ethan said with a grin. "We told Draco about what she said and he was furious. He nearly made the entire Slytherin common room deaf when he yelled at her."

"But what he said to Hermione...I haven't forgiven him for that." she said stiffly. They looked at each other and nodded.

"We haven't either, but we moved past it after he started visiting you."

"Thanks guys, I'll think about it. But I sent an owl to my parents just now asking if you guys would want to spend the break with us. Your families too, we have more than enough room."

The two looked at each other and smiled brightly.

"We'll ask the moment we get home!"

The trio turned back to Dumbledore who was ending his speech.

"And as a special treat we will be cancelling exams-" the school cheered loudly. "And I'd like to thank Professor Sprout, Madame Pomfrey and Doctor Snow for helping make the petrification cures for all of the affected students and cats."

"Mom?!" Willow and Ethan heard Venus say from between them. A woman with beautiful black hair and kind hazel eyes made eye contact with her daughter and smiled.
