The Snow Fox

Cake and Cocoa Part 1

"It's your birthday?!" Willow screeched.

"The day the Aurora Borealis shines."

"And you didn't tell us?!" the brunette yelled.

"It's just a birthday-"

"NONONO! It's your day! We need to celebrate!"

"N-no please." Venus started, but Willow was set.

"We can ask the house elves to make a cake and bring it to the courtyard to celebrate. Oh! And hot cocoa!"

"Mind if I join?" a voice said as the trio whipped around.

"Hermione!" Venus said, hugging the brunette. "Willow, Ethan, this is Hermione Granger, Gryffindor and a certified genius witch."

"Says one herself."

The two started to babble about school and topics, quoting books and texts that the other two had never even heard of.

"There's two of them..." Ethan muttered, rattling his brain over the girls.

"Bloody Hell! Never thought I'd see someone go toe to toe with Hermione!" A redheaded boy commented running up to the group with none other than Harry Potter running up behind him.

"Venus, this is Ron Weasley and I think you know-"

"Harry Potter! Great to meet you!" The ravenette finished, shaking the boy's hands.

"This is Willow and Ethan." She said, gesturing towards her friends. She was about to turn back to Hermione to continue their conversation when Willow threw herself in between the two girls.

"Ok! This is about Venus' birthday today! Are you guys in for cake and cocoa?"

"So in!" Ron cheered.

"What's this about a birthday?" another voice chimed in. Draco appeared and Hermione, Harry and Ron all tensed up. The tension was so thick you could cut it with a knife.

"Malfoy."

"Potter."

"Draco?"

"I heard it's your birthday, Ice Princess." The blonde said, sneering towards the boy with a scar. "Happy Birthday."

"Thank you Draco."

"Why do you care Malfoy?" Ron sneered. "Not like you to care about others."

Venus looked at the redhead shocked.

"It's just like you to grovel at people's feet, Weasley."

She turned to Draco with the same shocked face and felt her heart sink. Harry, Ron and Draco started to argue until Willow snapped.

"Enough! It's Venus' birthday and all of you are ruining it!"

The boys silenced and looked at the ravenette who had disappeared. Ethan put a hand on Harry's shoulder and one on Draco's.

"I get you three don't exactly get along, but for Venus' sake, I think you should at least try to keep the fighting to a minimum."

"Fine."

"Fine."

All boys agreed. As Ethan had diffused the situation, Willow and Hermione had run off to find the Birthday girl.
