The shrill sound of my alarm clock echoed through my room. I opened my eyes looking up to my white ceiling. I wish I would know what to do with it to make it prettier but I just had no clue.

It was a monday. The monday after the summer break. It meant I was now a sophomore.

I was pretty excited for school because I would see my friends again after a long excruciating vacation with my parents and brother in Texas. It was absolutely ridiculous how warm I've had it this vacation. The only good thing that came out of the vacation was my tan. Most of the vacation was just my mom and dad fighting about stupid things.

My thoughts about the new year and vacation were rudely disturbed by my mom.

"Naomi, get your ass out of bed. You're gonna be late for school." She said as she stook her head through my open door. I didn't know why the hell my door was open but I didn't question it.

I was surprised my mom was still home. Normally she would be long gone trying to get as far away from my father, my brother and me as possible.

My school was really nothing special. It was just a high school. The only thing special thing was that apparently some famous actor goes there. You'd think that I would have met him if we went to the same school but I have no idea who he is.

"NAOMI!" my mom screamed again disrupting my thoughts once again.

"I'M COMING." I screamed just as loud as her. I slowly pulled the covers from my body and shivered when I felt the cold air touch my body. I stood up and looked at my closet contemplating what I should wear. After a couple of minutes I settled on some time baggy jeans with gapes and a yellow top. I finished the outfit off with some silver accessories and some mascara.

I almost flew downstairs because I was already late and I knew my brother wouldn't wait for me. He was a amazing brother but he just had no patience. It had been an issue in t past because I'm not the fastest person on the earth. Like not at all.

When I came downstairs my brother was already at the door.

"Nico, wait." I half screamed to him hoping he would wait for me.

He slowly turned around with an annoyed expression on his face. He had brown hair like me only his hair was curly and mine was to straight for words. We both shared the same green eyes which we inherited from our father.

"Mimi, come on we need to go." he said whilst already walking outside. I ran after him and looked up to meet his eyes. He was too tall it was not funny. I wasn't even short compared to Nico I was a dwarf. Nobody knew why he was that tall because our parents were both average. I always joked he was adopted. He didn't like that very much.

"Wait, I haven't even eaten breakfast yet."

" You can walk if you'd like." I hated the fact I  couldn't have a car yet. I was dependent on my brother every day to take me to school. I could ask my best friend but I didn't want to bother her

I sighed and followed him to his car.
