When I woke up in the morning I stressed out when I looked up to a grey ceiling in stead of a white one. Then the events of yesterday evening came back to me and I realised that I was in Brooke's bed.

I slowly sat up and looked around me noticing Brooke was gone. I got up and walked downstairs where I thought she might be.

I got downstairs and saw Brooke siting on her kitchen island eating cereal.

"Good morning, how are you feeling?" I asked her.

"I'm better than yesterday." she answered me with a sad look on her face. She continued to eat her cereal and I grabbed a bowl. I slowly put the cereal in the bowl and poured the milk into it.

I grabbed a spoon and sat next to Brooke and started eating. We sat in silence but it wasn't a awkward silence. It was comfortable.

I hadn't texted my parents about last night and they didn't text me either. It wasn't like we had a bad relationship it was just different.

I ended up borrowing some of Brooke's clothes before we went to school. I was still furious at Lucas, any best friend would but I tried to put it at the back of my mind to focus on school.

I had science first period with Brooke. We sat at our usual place and she started talking like nothing happens the night before. I went along with it because I knew she was just pretending.

The first few periods went by pretty fast and before I knew it, it was break time.

I went to the cafeteria and saw Isabell and Brooke at our usual spot. I walked towards them and saw Isabell excitedly asking Brooke how her date went.

"Well, ehm I'll just tell you when all the girls are here. That way I won't have to tell the story 5 times." Brooke said while nervously rocking back and forth on the chair she was sitting on.

Isabell nodded understandingly and not long after I sat down Eloise and Emma appeared.

"So now you can tell us, how did your date go?" Isabell said.

"Yes Brooke, how did it go?" I asked trying to encourage her because she looked really uncomfortable.

"Well-" Brooke started but she was staring at something behind me and turned pale as a ghost. I turned my head and was super confused at first. I just saw a group of guys standing together.

When I looked a bit better I saw the back of a boy with a buzz cut. Then the realisation hit me. It was Lucas.

"Is that him?" I asked Brooke who looked at the verge of crying. She didn't respond and just continued staring.

Seeing my best friend like this just awoke something in me. I got up from my chair and started walking towards the group of boys and when I was in front of Lucas I did what every good best friend would do.

I swung my fist.
