3rd Person POV

Morning comes and everyone was in the locker room getting dressed for their initiation, Y/n of course refusing to talk to anyone other than her friend group stays with them as they have a conversation. "Y/n." The girl jumps as she hears someone calling her name, snapping her out of her thoughts. "What is it?" She said. "You're staring at your hand for a weird amount of time again." Rem said frowning and crossing her arms. "Oh right, sorry about that." Y/n chuckles before putting her glove on her hand.

"Would all the first year students please report to Beacon Cliff for initiation. Again, all first year students report to Beacon Cliff immediately." Glynda's voice could be heard through the intercom.

"For years you have been trained to become warriors, and today your abilities will be evaluated in the emerald forest." Ozpin says holding a cup of coffee.

"Now I'm sure many of you heard the rumors of the assignment of teams, well allow us to put an end to your confusion, each of you will be given teammates...today." Glynda continues.

"These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time here at beacon so it is in your best to be paired with someone who you can work well with that being said the first person you make eye contact with will be your teammate for the next four years. After you've partnered up, make your way up to the northern part of the forest...do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path or you will die"

"You will be monitored and graded for the duration of your initiation but our instructors will not intervene you will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics. Each pair must choose one, and return to the top of the cliff, you will guard the item as long as your standing and grade you appropriately...are there any questions?"

"Yeah um sir-" Jaune was immediately cut off by Ozpin.

"Good...now take your positions"

"Uh, sir? I've got, um, a question." Jaune said sounding like he hasn't hit puberty yet. The other students one by one get catapulted into the air. "So, this landing strategy thing, uh, w-what is it? You're like, dropping us off or something?"

"No. You will be falling."

"Oh I see. So like did you hand out parachutes for us?"

"No. You will be using your own landing strategy."

"Uh huh yeah...So uhm what exactly is a landing strateGYYYYYYYYYY"

"Ugh my neck hurts." Y/n said as she jumps down from the tree she had landed then she hears the sound of the bushes rustling. "Who's there?" She turns her head towards the source and that's when multiple Grimm jump out of nowhere. "Well this'll be fun." Y/n summons her sword.

And within a second the girl thought she had killed all the Grimm. "Well that was easier than I thought." She said while sheathing her weapon. "On your left." She heard a voice say from one of the trees. "Huh? Was that supposed to be a reference-" She said before she heard a Grimm growl next to her. "Oh you actually meant it." She mumbled before the Grimm got shot.

"God you're so stupid sometimes." Rem said jumping dowm from a tree and walking over to the girl. "Oh fuck you." Y/n said while putting her middle finger up. "Yeah sure, bottom." Riko mumbled. "I'm sorry what was that?"

"Nothing." The taller girl said while smirking under her mask. "I wonder if Rem and Tomo were paired up." Y/n looking at a random direction. "Something bad would probably happen." Riko replied. "Well whatever, they'll be fine...probably." Y/n mumbled the last part.
