3rd Person POV

"You can wait outside, thank you." Raven said looking up at the woman who puts down the tea kettle before walking out of the tent. "So, what's the truth?" Yang asks looking at Raven who takes a sip out of her drink. "You know, it's better when it's hot." The woman said, giving Yang a quick glance. "You know you're really obnoxious. Weiss comments. "The truth is that truth is hard to come by, a story of victory for one person, is a story of defeat for someone else. By now your uncle has surely told Ruby and her friends plenty of stories." Raven puts down her cup as she finished speaking. "Well he'd never given me a reason to doubt him before." Yang shook her head slightly at her mother 

"That doesn't mean those reasons don't exist...you know, you and your teammates might as well be the poster children for the huntsman academies. Your motives vary, but you all enrolled to try and make the world a better place, it's adorable." Raven said changing her seating position. "It's what huntsmen and huntresses do." "Not all of them, some people are just in it for the money and the fame, but there's even more that are just looking to grow stronger. Your uncle Qrow and I didn't attend beacon to become huntsmen. We did it to learn how to kill huntsmen." Raven finishes causing both Yang and Weiss to gasp before looking at each other. "Daddy and uncle left that part out, hmm? Aside from the grimm, huntsmen were the only ones capable of ruining our raids and hunting us down. Our tribe needed a counterforce and Qrow and I were the perfect age, the entrance exams were child's play compared to what we'd already been through. We were good, so good that we caught the attention of beacon's very own headmaster, Professor Ozpin. Even after we were put on a team, I could tell he was keeping his eye on us. back then I thought it was because he knew, but it was team STRQ he was interested in." Raven said, taking her cup before standing up.

"What do you mean by that?" Yang asks. "Constant attention, extra training missions, turning a blind eye whenever we happened to break the rules and get into more trouble than we should've...sound familiar?" The woman replied turning to give the girls behind her a look. "What's your point?" Yang questions. "Tow much do you know about professor Ozpin? About his past?" Raven asked the two. "He was a prodigy, one of the youngest headmasters to be appointed to a school." Weiss answers.

"Because that's how he planned it. Because the man you know as Ozpin designed those schools and has followers inside every academy in remnant that are loyal to him and no one else." "That doesn't make any sense. How could he have...no....why would someone even do that?" Yang says. "Because that old man Oz has a great and terrible secret. One that could spear fear across the world. One that he eventually entrusted to our team, and once I knew there was no going back, I needed to know more, but with every new discovery I made the more horrifying the world became." "ok then tell us, what's the big secret, what so crazy that the rest of us don't know." Yang asked the woman in front of her. "The creatures of grimm have a master named Salem. She can't be stopped, she can't be reasoned with, and she will not rest until humanity crumbles at her feet." "...What." Weiss said in shock. "You know you two haven't even touched your tea." Raven said before taking a sip out of her tea.

"Why should we believe any of this?" Yang stood up. "Now you're catching on, so far you've done nothing but accept what others tell you, but you need to question everything." Raven turned to Yang and walked towards her. The duo had a stare of for a few seconds before Raven turns and walks away "Otherwise you'll end up just as blind as Qrow...and your fool of a father." Raven continued before a gunshot was heard, she looked at Yang behind her. "Don't you dare talk about my family like that!" Yang said, her eyes, blood red. "You need to calm down." Vernal said pointing her weapon at Yang. "Yang please." Weiss grabbed Yang's hand. "Listen to your friend, yang. Your teammate's never let you down before." Raven said. "You don't even know the first thing about my teammates. About me! You were never there, you left us! Why?" Yang said her eyes going from red to their normal lilac.

"I know more than you realize, not just about you, and not just what I've told, but the things I've seen with my own eyes. I know the grim have a leader, I know people who can come back from the dead, I know that magic is real, and I can prove it...You said ty told you all about my semblance. Well I doubt he ever told you what Oz did to my brother and me." Raven walks out of the tent and Yang and Weiss look at each other. "Go see for yourself." Vernal said from behind them before they decide to follow the woman.

"Mom?" Yang said seeing her mother nowhere in sight. "Yang, are you ok?" Weiss asked the blonde. "I'll be fine once we can get her to take us to Ruby" "It's okay if your not okay" Weiss attempted to comfort Yang. "You didn't believe what she said, right?" Yang turns to her friend. "I...of course not, well not all of it. It was crazy, we have the dust, semblances, but I mean there's no such thing as magic." Weiss says that as if she isn't friends with a demon who uses magic. 

From a far a caw before a raven flies towards them. "A raven?" "I've seen that bird before." Yang comments. "Maybe it belongs to your mom?" The bird flies towards them before it magically turns into Raven. "How did you do that?" 
Yang says in shock. "Well I could explain it to you." Raven pulls omen before slashing in the air and a portal appears behind her. "Or you could ask your uncle" Raven continues. "You're letting us go?" Yang asked. "I'm giving you a choice, stay here with me and I'll answer all of your questions and more. We can have a fresh start...or you can go back to Qrow and join Ozpin's team impossible war against Salem, and meet the same fate as so many others...but can you really go back to trusting someone that's kept so much from you?" Raven steps to the side. "All I care about is making sure my sister is safe." Yang responds as Raven scoffs at her.

"Alright, the first batch is just about done." Ren says to Ruby who was next to him. "Awesome! Now we just need Qrow and we're all set." Ruby smiles. "Do you really think Qrow is gonna bring that many people. This is a lot of food." Ren turns to Nora when he hears the sound of chewing. Then goes back to cooking when Nora throws a bit of carrot into her mouth. "Uh, I don't know but it sounds like we can use all the help we get." Ruby said before hearing Qrow. "I'm back." "Be right there!" Ruby replied turning back to what she was doing. "You're probably gonna overcook that." Tomo comments. "No I'm not shut up!" Ruby turned to Tomo who shakes his head. "Hey uh Ruby?" Qrow's muffled voice say. "I'm coming!" Ruby yelled before a black smoke comes out of her pan as Tomo sighs and rubs his nose bridge before looking at Ruby who smiles at him then passing the chopsticks to them. 

"So we didn't know how many people were coming so we just cooked all of it." Ruby walked to the kitchen to the living room before looking up and dropping the tray she was holding as she sees her sister and t̶h̶e̶ ̶l̶o̶v̶e̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶h̶e̶r̶ ̶l̶i̶f̶e̶  Weiss. Yang slowly steps forward as Ruby looks at her full of guilt. "Yang, I...I'm so sorry. I- I should've stayed, and I should have talked to you more. I just...I wasn't sure if you wanted me around and-" Ruby was cut off by Yang pulling her into an embrace. "I love you." Yang said as Ruby cried before hugging her in response. "I love you too..."

Not too far from them, a hooded figure was seen watching them. The figure smirks before turning around and walking away.
