3rd Person POV

"Maa! Zekkyou na kanjou rakka pa paranooi "a" obore koe agete wa guruguru- AH!" Y/n was peacefully singing along to what was playing on her playlist when she jumps as feels something being placed on her shoulder. She glances to her side and she sees a hawk and her eyes soften at the sight. "Hey buddy." She says giving it a little head scratch before going back to what she was doing on her desk, the hawk let's out a small huff before lightly hitting Y/n head with it's beak. "Ow Blitzo what the hell." She groans rubbing her head looking at the hawk on her shoulder who just gives her a look.

"I'm not gonna go to bed yet, I have to finish making these for Blake and Yang." She says going over to a different table to grab a tool but the hawk lands in front of the tool, spreading it's wings out and shaking it's head at Y/n. "Jeez even the hawk is telling you to take a break." Artemis appears on the table with their arms crossed, Y/n looks at them, rolling her eyes before walking back over to her desk. "Didn't you tell Blake to not overwork herself or something? Then you go off and do this? God you're pathetic." Artemis stops Y/n by teleporting in front of her.

"I get it, you wanna be all romantic and shit but you need to think of your well being sometimes you dipshit." They continued as Blitzo flew over and landed onto Y/n's shoulder. "Ugh fine." Y/n rolls her eyes turning off the lights before walking out of the lab and towards her room. As she was walking in the halls off the castle she passes by an old painting of her sister. She pauses and turns to look at the painting.

(Flashback)

"Ahhh! A scary demon is chasing me!" A smaller version of Y/n screamed, in her pajamas and a towel around her neck resembling a cape as someone chased after her. "Wait a minute, I shouldn't be scared of demons they should be scared of me!" The girl yelled turning around and pointing wooden sword at the figure. "Kneel before me demon! For I am the princess of hell!" She yelled before getting picked up by the person who chukles. "C'mon you little goofball, time to go to bed." Akane smilled carrying the girl towards her room, in response the girl whines. "But big sis I still wanna play!" Y/n said struggling in the older girl's grip as Akane walked over to her bed.

"We can play tomorrow." Akane replied laying the girl down on the bed. "But why can't we play now?!" The child asked sitting up looking towards her sister. "Because if you don't go to bed now, you won't have the energy to fight monsters tomorrow and you might lose." The sister replied and the child gasped. "Lose?! Okay big sis I'll go to bed now. But can you pleaseeeeeeee tell me a bed time story?" Y/n begged with puppy eyes, Akane looks at her for a second before sighing and nodding her head. "Okay but only one." She answered and Y/n smiled in excitement before laying back down on her bed, Akane following her. "So what kind of story do you wanna hear?" She asked. "I want a story from one of your cool adventures!" The girl looked at her sister. "Okay how about the time where I fought big sis Akira in a tournament?" Akane suggested and Y/n shook her head. "No I want the one where you fought a whole forest of Grimm on your own!" The older girl looks at her sister before chuckling and shaking her head. "Haven't you heard that one like a hundred times already?" She replied and Y/n nods.

"I know! But I love hearing how cool you are! I wanna be just like you when I become a huntress! I wanna make you and everyone proud!" Y/n exclaims standing up on her bed. Akane chuckles again before grabbing her sister and laying the girl back down. "Okay then, so it was just a normal patrol in a forest..."

(Flashback end)

Y/n looks away from the painting, letting out a small laugh while wiping a tear off her face. "I'll make you proud big sis...I promise." She said looking at the painting again before walking back towards her room.
