Pressing send, I turn my phone off and refuse to look at it for the rest of the day. I ignore the fact that Niall wants to see me, I ignore all the noise that him and his friends are making right now in his backyard and I ignore the annoying voice in my head that's telling me I'm stupid.

It's just me today, I tell myself.

I need a day to myself to just go to the restaurant and read paper work about bills, reviews and more critics that are making an appearance.

No cooking just distract my self with something that couldn't possibly remind me of Niall.

"Isn't she lovely, isn't she wonderful..." a smooth husky singing voice comes from Niall's backyard as I get out of my car and head inside.

I finally turn my phone on as I get home and ignore the five messages from Niall and three missed calls. One from Bailey catches my attention though.

noticed you were a tad sad at work today? please turn that frown upside down. I miss my smiley Shannon :(

I manage a small smile at her caring nature.

I'll try my best bails. if only I had you around all the time to make me happy all the time. hugs and kisses :)

Dropping the device I open up the curtains a bit so I can still hear the singing happening outside. I hate to admit it but the entertainment is great.

"I never thought, through loved we be... making one as lovely as she,"

"but isn't she lovely made from love..." I sing along quietly although I doubt they'd here me from upstairs. I'm too distracted by cleaning my now spotless kitchen to hear knocking on the front door.

The noise is consistent as the stranger starts to get impatient. Knock Knock Knock.

I scurry down my staircase, "Who is it?" I yell through the closed door. Can't be too careful, even though my door is unlocked right now.

"You wouldn't believe me if I told you."

Curiosity gets the best of me and I slowly inch the door open so half of me is showing. A tall slim figure with a mop of brown thick curls appears.

His friendly aura is shown through his dimpled smile. "'Ello, the names Harry."

"Um..." I know who he is - what girl wouldn't? - being one of Niall's friends though, I'm wondering why he's on my front porch. Did he send him here? Does he have a message from Niall?

"Can I help you?" I ask politely.

"Well, not personally but I'm Harry and I'd be grateful if you helped my friend." I raise my eyebrows and open the door more so he can see me properly.

"This friend wouldn't happen to be Niall, would it?"

"You're smart. No wonder you and Niall and friends."

Sighing I stare at Harry and raise my arm, "I'm Shannon, nice to meet you."

He shakes my hand gently and I can't help but notice how large his are. "Anyways, I was wondering if you'd like to join us in the backyard. I'm assuming you can hear us considering you opened your window when you got home."

"Are you a stalker? Have you just been watching me inside my house?"

"No, but I've been called observant many times before. Anyway, about that offer?"

Have you ever walked into a room and felt like the people inside knew you but you'd never officially met them. Like they'd heard about you from a whisper or two but never actually been in your presence.

I now understand the awkward and trembling feeling.

The air was silent as Harry led me onto Niall's back wooden deck. The only sound was faint heels in the background, scampering through his house. "Guys this is Niall's friend, Shannon." They all send me a wave and Harry gives me a friendly grin at the end of his words.

I manage a small 'hi' before taking a seat next to Harry on one of the outdoor lounges. I could feel a certain blondes stare on me but never met his gaze. "So, Shannon, how do you know Niall?" Stupid question. I look over at a brunette with bright blue eyes.

"We're neighbours, I moved in about two months ago, how about you guys?" Laughter erupted from everyone around me and I felt like shriveling into a hole even though I don't know what I did wrong.

"We're his band mates." The one with jet black hair replied. Good one Shannon.

I stared at the five boys, blushing at the realization. "Oh my god, I'm such an idiot." Again we all shared a laugh before heading into conversation.

A bubbly blonde took a seat next to me showed me a friendly smile. "Hey, I'm Lauren. I'm Louis' girlfriend."

I'm going to assume Louis was the guy who's lap she was sitting on. "Hey, nice to meet you."

"So how long have you lived in Dublin?" She asked.

"About six months actually, I didn't live next door until three months ago though."

"Cool, Niall's been here for about a three months now. He used to live in London like the rest of the boys but he decided to stick more to his Irish roots."

I didn't mean to be nosey and even though there isn't much I don't know about Niall, he'd never told me about moving here from London.

"How come he chose here instead of Mullingar?" I asked, checking no one was eavesdropping.

"I'm pretty sure management needed him to stay in the city, he couldn't just completely block out all his fans and stay in such a closed off town. I'm surprised they let him stay in such a rural area, you know, like its not very close the centre of the city. Must be hard for him to do studio work."

"Yeah, I suppose but he makes it work." Which is true, he makes an effort. When I have work at the restaurant, he goes to studios in the inner part of the city and every now and again he'd send me snippets of a song he's working on. It wasn't in his nature to to laze around all day long even though he's on a break.

Glancing back at the boys I decipher which one is which after collecting small details Niall has told me. Excusing myself I walk to the bathroom, after washing my hands I bump into someone.

The person grabs my hand and pulls me back into the toilet area, I'd recognise this voice anywhere.

"We need to talk."

HELLO AGAIN. SCHOOL SUCKS ATM and I have like three assignments so sorry to say it but my updates are going to take at least two weeks or so..

And my exam results are very very shit.
