We don't have to be ordinary,
Make your best mistakes,
We don't have the time to be sorry,
So, baby, be the life of the party.

I start my walk down the dull side walk, occasionally glancing at an interesting distraction. My car is no use for when I go to work as the restaurant is quite close to my house.
I think about the last weekend, how nice it was to have company for a few days.
Spending time with Niall was very enjoyable, he left around three o'clock yesterday. We got lost in conversation, going over random topics, I feel like I've known him or longer than just two days, it feels like two weeks.
I slip the key into the door, pushing it open it automatically locks behind me again. Every foot step I take echoes, the acoustics in the building are better when I'm alone.
My other employees will be arriving in half an hour, I start to get things set up. Setting tables is the first thing to do, I place my a CD in the player, The 1975, music is heard from all corners of the restaurant.
It's quite large, two separate rooms with tables and red leather booths. Stairs lead to the back room, the coffee and cake bar is near the lounge at the front whereas the kitchen is at the back through a door and a mirror is next to the door.
It's a one way mirror, I can see from the kitchen but customers can only see a mirror. Plants are around the back room and the seats outside have beautiful flowers and a kids area.
I've given the restaurant a modern rainforest kind of theme and I'm proud of it.
Above the booths are stickers of leaves and trees, they're whiteboards as well so I can write inspirational quotes on them. I love making people smile as they walk in.
Menu whiteboards are above the barista. They have stickers of frangipanis and vines on them, I hear the clicking of a lock and Bailey walks in.
Bailey is an employee and we've become acquainted while working together, "Hey Bails."
She pulls out her red earphones, "Hey Shan, need some help?"
"Yeah thanks, I'll start out the back with stocking."
She puts on an apron, "I'll help you after I'm finished out here."
I nod, it won't take that long since she only has one or two tables to finish. Soon she's helping me get ingredients ready for cooking, the restaurant will open in a half an hour.
"So, how was your weekend?" I ask, making small talk.
"Simple, spent time with the family and did some babysitting, what about you?"
"Just spent some time with a friend." I answer simply, although it was a whole lot more fun than I made it sound.
"Friend? Did you meet someone?"
"Ah, yeah. He lives two houses down. We just got to know each other, it was nice."
"For a whole two days?" She raises her brown eyebrows at me in disbelief.
"Yeah, he's an interesting guy." I reply, not meaning to sound sassy.
"Oh really, what makes this guy so interesting that you spent your weekend with him?"
"I don't know... he's just fun to be with. He makes me laugh and not to mention he has these eyes that just draw you in and there's sort of this mystery about them. Your just like woah..."
