N I A L L (Same Tuesday.)

Racing back to Shannon's I try not to trip on the edge of the gutter. Feminine giggles come from in front of me as I stop at the end of Shan's driveway, my gaze moves from my shoes to a pair of girls. "OMG!" One of them exclaim throwing her hands in the air as her blue eyes go wide.

"Like what?" The other blonde asks while I try to step away.

"It's the Niall Horan!" She replies in a sassy manner. "Do you like, live in this in this street?" The girl asks with her hand on her hip.

"Uuhhh, no just visiting a good friend, that's all." I nod my head hoping they won't see through my lie.

"Okay, do you think I could grab an autograph? And a picture?" Almost falling over I place a hand on her shoulder to keep her standing up straight, "Um, sure." I mumble, she leans into my hand and I remove it making her glare a little bit.

Trying to be as quick as I can I smile for a picture and sign her diary, "Who do I make this out to?" I ask.

"Scarlet." She winks, "Pretty name." I compliment.

"I know." She grins twirling her hair between her fingers. I try to keep my grimace under control as it's been a while since I've had to fake a smile or emotion since I've had Shannon around.

After I finish my autograph I step away, "Niall!" The girl calls, hesitantly I spin on my heel to meet her stare.

"Yeah?" I ask.

"Are you doing anything this Friday?" Shrugging her shoulders I see her straight blonde hair slip over her shoulders onto her designer hand bag. A pair of Gucci sunglasses are placed on her head and glimmering diamond earrings hang from her earlobes, a model outfit made obvious.

"Actually, yeah, I was catching up with my good friend, again." I lie, hoping Shannon would want to hang out with me on Friday.

"Wow, he must be some friend." She furrows her eyebrows, annoyed that I turned her down.

"Yeah, she's awe- "

"SHE?" Scarlet cuts me off as I try to keep my patience, remember Niall she has feelings too.

"Yeah, she, a girl, a female, I have to go I'm sorry." Backing away at a fast pace I leave Scarlet and her friend to finish their walk.

Music fills my ears once I'm close to the door and memories of when I saw Shannon dancing through window flood back to me and I smirk. That day seems like such a long time ago whereas it was about a month and bit.

I try to be stealth and make my way upstairs to the kitchen where a strong smell of spaghetti comes through. Shannon being a chef is probably an amazing plus. Her hips sway to the slow song that I'm unfamiliar with.

As she leans against the bench the song finishes and the next song seems more familiar to me. Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran, one of my favourites off his latest album.

Sneaking behind her I let my arms slither around her waist and hold her close to my chest, embracing her. "Hello there." I whisper in her ear making her giggle.

"Hey, wanna try something for me?" She asks. I nod making her soft lips brush my cheek on purpose. Shannon lifts the wooden spoon and places it near my mouth, "Wait," She interrupts, placing the spoon near her own mouth and blows cool air onto it before lifting it back up, "Sorry, I thought it would be hot."

I lick the spoon with tomato paste and raise my eyebrows when a light zing occurs to my tastebuds, "Wow!" I mumble.

"You like it?" Shannon asks while crinkling her nose making her look adorable.

"I... love it!" I reply pecking her nose, unfortunately getting rid of the crinkles.

"Cause darling I, will, be loving you..."

Ed's voice drifts in the kitchen, slowly I sway us back and forth while Shannon stirs the pot.

Her hand puts the wooden spoon on the bench beside the stove, I entwine her fingers with mine and wrap my arms around her torso once again.

Spinning herself around Shannon comes to face to face with me and her deep pool of brown eyes hallucinates me with their beauty. Her charismatic freckles beside her nose that aren't as covered with too much make up are on display for only me to see.

Bringing her body into me Shannon rests her head on my shoulder and I tuck my head into the crook of her neck. Kind of like the way I would dance at prom, if I had gone to prom.

I sing along to the song lyrics not being able to contain myself and Shannon shivers at the contact of my hand drawing up her spine a bit, instantly I remove the contact and sigh.

My eyelids flutter shut and I stop singing, the song is only up to the bridge. "You alright?" Shan asks lifting her head.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I lie. I'm not okay, I'm not fine. The girl I'm miserably crushing on is standing in my arms but not in the way I wish she was. I admit I'm falling for Shannon, a 5'2 girl who loves puppies and French fries. A girl who is afraid of thunderstorms but loves the feeling of rain. It's only been about a month and a half since we met but to us, it feels like we've known each other for a lifetime.

My eyes dart to her lips when I see her direct attention to my eyes again. Her lips are so perfect, to me they're the perfect shade of pink.

I watch her head nod as if she read my thoughts and she's giving me approval.

Ever so carefully I lean down until our noses are nearly rubbing, I watch Shannon's eyes almost flutter shut until we're interrupted by the sound of a barking dog.

Looking down at our feet I see Charlie sitting impatiently with his tail wagging energetically. "Um..." Shannon stutters a bit, "I'm just g-going to get some cutlery, d-do you think you could stir the, uh, sauce?" I nod and move to the left at the same time as Shannon.

"Sorry." We apologise in unison.

I shake my head and move to the right as well as Shannon, her giggle erupts making me smile, "I'll go left you go right?" I suggest and we both nod.

Stepping to my left, which happens to be Shannon's right, I clash with her again and her head runs face first into my chest. "Okay." I begin, my hands hold Shannon's shoulders and I turn us around so I'm in her past position. "Now, we can move." I say as she spins and grabs the cutlery.

"Mhm." I nod trying to keep my eyes on the pot instead of watching her every move.

Most of her movements aren't all that graceful, most clumsy but I don't mind. I can stare at her all day frankly. Every movement would be more breathtaking than the last.

=•=•=•=

Slipping my shoes off I lay down across the whole lounge, Shannon comes and laughs as I pull her down to my chest.

"So, what movie have we chosen for tonight's movie?" She shifts getting comfortable.

"The Avengers." I shrug, her head pops up to look me in the eye as my head rests on a pillow.

"Really?"

"Yeah, we can change it if yo- " Shannon cuts my sentence short with a shake of her head. "No! I just love this movie." She laughs.

Gently her head rests against my chest again and I glide my fingers through her hair, my hand gets stuck at some knots but I don't mind.

Around halfway through the movie I watch as Shannon's eyes slowly drift closed. Mine do the same after making sure I know she's perfectly content.
