(Thursday of the same week.)

The clang of metal catches my attention as Grace drops some cutlery on the kitchen floors. "Oops." She giggles.

Tom laughs at her as he walks past with cups to put away, "Where's Bailey?" I ask.

"She has a family emergency, I think?" Replies Grace.

"Oh, I hope everything's alright."

After a few more minutes enough work is done so I tell Grace and Tom they can go home. "Grace, do you think you could give me a lift?" Tom asks with wide eyes.

Grace scoffs from behind the barista, "Oh, so, because Bailey isn't here, you're going to ask me?" She rolls her eyes.

"I'm going to take that as a yes." Tom replied with a cocky smirk.

They playfully glare at each other and begin to head out the door as I wipe down the benches. "Oo, Shannon, your boyfriend is coming around the corner." Grace says as she peers around the door frame, her statement refers to Niall.

"You guys are finally dating?" Tom questions.

I laugh a bit, "We aren't dating, I've told you this so many times Grace!"

"Yeah, but you guys want to date each other," She moves her stare to Tom, "He always picks her up from work and walks her home."

I blush a little bit and try to focus but I can't knowing Niall is so close.

Grace and Tom say their goodbyes and leave, Niall enters afterwards and I give him a smile as he sits on the edge of the bench and then flips his legs over so he's on my side. "Hey." I greet.

"Hello there princess." Niall winks as I playfully scoff.

"Okay," He begins and I brace myself for a mini-Niall-speech, "So, we've known each other for, what? Two months now, but we still haven't gone to have a drink together yet- "

"We've had coffee together plenty of times together Niall."

He shakes his head, "Not caffeine, alcohol."

I nod my head gesturing I understand and he continues. "So, I've called a few friends from the main part of the city that I've been meaning to catch up with and we've all agreed to spend tomorrow night at the pub."

"What does this have to do with me Niall?" I sigh, hearing about his fun plans leaving me lonely tomorrow night.

"Hold your horses, I'm getting there," Clearing his throat I watch his Adam's apple bob but go back to wiping down the cupboards. "I told them I've met an amazing girl around here and I want them to meet you because, you're my new bestie." He perks up and the smile on his face resembles a young child's.

"Bestie? What are we five?" I laugh but I'm the only one amused.

"Yes, bestie, you should feel privileged!"

"Alright, no need to argue. So, are you inviting me to come or telling me to come?" I ask.

"Telling you," He shrugs, "I want you to come and you obviously want to come so, yeah, it's inevitable."

Checking my outfit I shrug my shoulders not impressed with what I see in the mirror.

I shift on my spot before grabbing my purse and hopping into the car, I'm going to meet Niall at the pub just in case we want to leave at different times.
