If you just realised what I just realised,
Than we'd be perfect for each other,
We'd never find another.

Niall's whole aura is hypnotising. I can see him from the corner of my eye observing every move I make. I know he's not judging me, but I still feel quite flustered about it.
"Um... the note on my cup says that I should get your number, is that alright?" Niall asks.
I giggle, "Sure."
We exchange phones and put each other's numbers in.
I honestly had no idea about a park in the estate, I've only walked at least two or three blocks from my house. We pass a bin and both throw our cups out after I take my last sip.
My arms hold all my warmth whereas my fingers and nose feel frozen. "So, how long have you lived here?" I ask. Niall doesn't seem very good at small talk, but I don't mind because I don't think he cares I'm doing most of the talking.
"About a year."
"And... Do you have any friends around here?"
"The people who live in our street are nice."
"There, like, thirty-five or older?"
He nods, "Isn't that like fourteen years older than you?"
He turns over to me smiling, "Why do you ask? Do you want to know how old I am?"
"Well, I'm guessing around twenty or twenty-one..."
His hands moves to the side of his head and he presses his hair down, licking his lips, "I'm twenty, you?"
"Nineteen turning twenty this year."
We arrive at the park and a genuine smile appears on my face, everything looks so much more colourful compared to the depressing walkways and bricks.
The trees stand out, the autumn colours making the park look lively. This is why I love parks, it's a place of pure happiness.
"You really like parks, don't you?" Niall asks, amused of my amazement.
"Yeah, where I grew up, it was a small town. Going to parks was basically the only fun thing to do." I say, my hometown is small, around ten thousand people. That might be a big number but it's too small for a town.
"I grew up in a small town too, it kinda gets boring doesn't it?" His Irish accent is thick, I wish mine was like that. My accent is a mix and it often confuses people.
"Mhm." I nod, the swing set appears in the corner of my eye. Only about five children are here, Niall can see me staring at them.
"Want me to push you?"
"What?" I ask, taken back. He laughs quite a bit at my reaction, "On the swing, do you want me to push you on the swing?"
"Oohhh..." I say with sudden realisation, I'm so vague.
"You don't have to if you don't want to."
"No, it's okay. I see the way your getting excited and all."
"Seriously Niall, I'm heavy, it's alright."
He scoffs and starts walking on without me, arriving at the swing he stands behind it. Waiting for me.
He cocks his head to the side, widening his eyes and folding his arms over his broad chest. I huff in defeat.
Slowly I sit down and his warm hands send goosebumps on my back, in a good way. I tense a little bit at the touch but soften as his fingertips loosen there grip.
