Imagine: The two of you always arguing, but in the end, you're always there for each other.
"That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard!" the Doctor exclaimed, making me roll my eyes. I had suggested that we go somewhere where the possibility of being thrown into something alien was slim.
"Doctor, for once, I want to do something without worrying for my life," I replied, folding my arms, "Just for once."
"That's boring!" he waved me off, pulling levers and pressing buttons on the console.
I huffed, "Why do you always have to be a stubborn idiot?"
"A stubborn idiot?" he repeated with amusement, "You daft little humans, always trying to sound tough."
"I'm not trying to sound tough, I'm trying to go somewhere calm!" I shook my head, "And to think, I used to think you would mellow with age."
"I'm not that old."
"You belong in a museum."
"Very funny," he rolled his eyes.
"I thought so."
Before he could reply, I fell to the ground as the TARDIS landed, making him smirk. "Oops. My bad."
I glared at him, standing up. "I hate you sometimes."
"No you don't."
"Yes I do," I walked towards the door, stepping outside. "Where are we?"
"[Y/N], the reason I travel is to go to new places. Surprisingly, I still haven't been everywhere."
"A simple 'I don't know' would have worked," I rolled my eyes as we started to walk. We bickered all the way to a nearby city, but that was nothing new.

As it turned out, we shouldn't have landed there. It was a refugee camp for wounded Sontarans, and they were pretty upset to see us. Being the Doctor, he just had to insult the soldiers, which only got us into even more trouble.
"I'm so sorry about him," I tried to distract the soldier guarding my cell, "He's getting old, and that upsets him. And when he's upset, he likes to insult different species."
"Shut up, human scum," the Sontaran replied.
"And if I don't?"
"Then I will personally execute you."
"Huh. Sounds tedious. Don't you ever get tired of killing people?"
"No."
"Why not?"
"It's very satisfying."
I scoffed, "It's satisfying to kill people?"
"This talking will cease!"
"You're taking as much as I am!"
The Sontaran turned and aimed it's gun at me, making me freeze.
"What do you plan on doing?" I gulped.
"Killing you!"
I squeezed my eyes shut, just waiting for him to pull the trigger. But instead, I heard a thump, followed by a louder thump. My eyes shot opened to see the Sontaran on the ground with the Doctor sonicing open the cell door.
"How?" I breathed.
"Back of the neck, Sontaran's weak point," he explained, taking my hand as we dashed off. We ran all the way back to the TARDIS, and luckily not a single Sontaran noticed us.
"Thank you, Doctor," I smiled at him as he piloted us away from that bloody awful place.
"Well, you weren't going to save yourself," he replied simply.
"Yeah, yeah," I smirked before rushing towards him and wrapping my arms around him for a hug.
"No, no, no, no! No hugs!" he said quickly, "[Y/N]!"
"We've been over this, Doctor!" I laughed.
He huffed and I eventually pulled away, "Why must you always hug me?"
"It's funny watching you get annoyed," I smiled, "But seriously Doctor, thank you for saving me. Again."
"You know I'm always there for you, [Y/N]."
"I know," my smile widened, "But, this does mean I get my calm adventure."
He scoffed, "No it doesn't."
I sighed. Here we go again.
