A/N: Continuation of my last one!

9th Doctor: "I can't believe it..." You shook your head as you walked alongside the man you had thought you had lost forever. "You're alive..."

"It seems so," he nodded, his new northern accent ringing out. "How long has it been for you, [Y/N]?"

"Two years," you informed softly, looking down at the cracked sidewalk. "What about you?"

"A long time," his voice got quiet.

You gulped and looked up at the Time Lord, who seemed to be deep in thought. "Doctor...I missed you, you know. Every night I used to look up at the stars, and I knew you were out there, saving the universe." You reached out and gently took his hand, a feeling of relief flooding through you when he laced your fingers together. It was obvious he was struggling, and it broke your heart. He might've changed, but you knew he was still the same man that you had fallen for all, and he needed you more than ever. "After all, that's why I love you."

He looked over at you, "Still love me, then?"

"Never stopped," you assured with a wide smile. "How can I stop loving the greatest man I've ever met?"

The Doctor stopped walking and took your other hand into his, "How did I get so lucky to have you?"

You grinned, "You were at the right place at the wrong time."

"You know me," he gave you soft smile as he leaned in. "I can never get the time just right."

With that, he pressed your lips together in a soft kiss, telling you instantly that everything was going to be just fine. He was still your Doctor...

10th Doctor: "How do you fancy Ancient Greece?" The Doctor was rambling off places to go as you leaned against the railing of the spaceship you had grown to call home. "We could see the first Olympic games! I'm sure you'd love that, [Y/N]! What do you say? Or would you rather go to New York? I remember you saying you've always wanted to go-"

"What are we, Doctor?" You interrupted, not taking your eyes off the grated floor.

"What do you mean?" He asked, clearly confused by the question. "[Y/N], what are you going on about?"

You bit your lip and sighed, "Before you changed...we were...we were close."

"We were lovers," he corrected, his voice growing soft as you heard footsteps move towards you, but you refused to look up. You didn't want him to see the tears in your eyes. It had been at least a week since you had last seen the proper version of the Doctor, and it was the most challenging week of your life. Every fiber of your being was telling you that this man was the Doctor. He was everything your leather-clad Time Lord had been. But you couldn't help it...

"Yeah..." You gulped. "But...you changed..."

"[Y/N], love, look at me," he murmured softly. You felt his thumb under your chin, gently moving it up so he could look into your eyes. A gasp escaped your lips when your eyes locked with his. "I understand that this is rough for you, and that it'll take some getting used to, but I promise you that every feeling that he felt for you...I feel a hundred times over."

The tears finally ran down your cheeks as you stepped forward and pulled him into a hug for the first time since he had changed. But maybe, just maybe...nothing had changed at all.

11th Doctor: The new control room still takes you by surprise every time you step into it. You were starting to think you would never grow accustom to the new desktop, but you had to soldier through it. You had to soldier through a lot of things now, it seemed. Between the new interior of your home, the TARDIS, and the new Doctor that was occupying said TARDIS, it was starting to get a bit rough. You guessed that's why you spent a lot of your time in the library nowadays. Even when the Doctor and Amy were eager for an adventure, you stayed behind in the comfort of the one familiar thing you had (besides the fact that there was now a swimming pool next to the biography section).

"That's the third time you're read that, you know," the quiet voice of the newest incarnation of the Time Lord made you jump in your seat. You weren't really expecting him to be back so early from his latest adventure with Amelia Pond. Hell, you weren't even expecting him to speak to you even when he did get back.

"It's a good book," you replied softly, closing it and sitting it on your lap. "What do you need, Doctor?"

Even his name seemed different to you now.

"We need to talk," he sat opposite of you, on a small loveseat. You remember how the two of you used to sit there, reading and laughing as he held you close. Your eyes started to sting as tears threatened to spill. He had promised never to let you go...

"About what?" You had managed to ask.

"Us..." he sighed and looked down at his hands. "[Y/N]...I'm sorry. I know this has to be difficult for you. New TARDIS, new Doctor, new companion...but...you haven't said one word to me..."

You looked up at the Time Lord. "I haven't said one word to you?"

"Well, you haven't."

"You haven't said a word to me!"

He frowned, "I thought you were upset with me for changing. I figured you wanted to be alone."

"Oh my god..." You breathed, shocked. You couldn't believe it. "This was one big bloody misunderstanding?"

"I...it would appear that way, yes," he blushed a bit, embarrassed. "[Y/N]. I'm terribly sorry-"

"As am I," you gulped. "Doctor, I am so sorry..."

He gave you a small smile, "I think a good book is long overdue, don't you?"

"Oh yes..." You laughed airily, quickly getting up and moving so you were next to him. "I've missed you so much..."

"And I you," he wrapped an arm around you and kissed the top of your head.

12th Doctor: "Doctor, could you stop insulting that painting? You know Vincent worked hard on it," you followed the newest incarnation of the Doctor through a museum he had brought you to. "And it's not like you could do much better."

"I could do a lot better," his Scottish accent rang out.

"Doubtful."

"You want me to show you?"

"No. I enjoy my eyesight, thanks."

He rolled his eyes as he walked ahead of you. A sigh escaped your lips as you watched him, and you couldn't help but think back to your bow-tie-wearing Doctor. He would've praised Vincent's works beyond belief. He would be cracking jokes and making you smile, not flaunting his ego every chance he got...but he was gone. All that was left was this man...a man who as difficult as a Dalek or a Sontaran.

"[Y/N], quit lagging behind! You know I'll leave you here!" His voice called over the chatter of all the other sightseers.

"Trust me, I know," you muttered, following after him again. Part of you was saying that that wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing, but you quickly dismissed that. Even if he was a difficult man to get along with sometimes, and an even more difficult man to love, he was still the Doctor. He needed you, even if he didn't want to admit it. And, still, after all this time, you needed him too.
