"You're a disaster." Rose commented casually. She wiggled her bound wrists, the ropes practically falling away. "These aren't even tied properly! Remus is never going to believe this."
Janus waved his hand at her and the ropes tightened themselves. He was stood in front of a full-length mirror, smoothing his hair down.
"Your comments aren't helping, Princess." He said. "And I'm not a disaster, you are."
"I'm not fretting over a knight who've I never even said two nice words to." Rose groaned and leaned her head back. "Eric's gonna be so mad at you."
"Well, sorry, but I didn't have time to plan this in advance!" Janus pivoted around, his ridiculously long cape whirling. "How do I look?"
Rose glanced up at him. "Evil." She commented.
"Perfect-"
"Remus doesn't go for evil guys." She finished, leaning her head back.
"I didn't ask for your opinion, Princess." Janus said. A wave of his hand whisked the mirror away.
"I'm just trying to help you!" Rose protested. "It would be so much easier if you just picked your balls up off the floor and asked him out!"
"Never. I don't need the rejection."
"How d'you know he's going to reject you?" Janus just stared at her. Rose clicked her tongue. "Right. You think you're undesirable."
"Uh, yeah! Cos I am!" Janus rolled his eyes. "Anyway, shouldn't he be here by now?"
"No." Rose said. "Oh, you're gonna stain my dress! I was gonna wear this on my date with Eric, ass!"
"Once again, Princess, I had no time to plan!"
Rose stared at him, completely dead-pan. "This is the 35th time you've kidnapped me. I think we've moved from titles to names, Janus."
"Captor!" Janus snapped. "For the last time, it's Captor."
"It's a stupid name, is what it is." Rose mumbled.
Janus pointed at her. "I will gag you, don't think I won't."
"Sure you will." Rose muttered, rolling her eyes. Janus glared at her.
"How should I start?" He asked, climbing up the stairs.
"Pardon?"
"How should I start?" Janus repeated. "Y'know, how should I introduce myself to him? Grab his attention and all that?"
"Personally," Rose said, "I would start with 'hey, this is all a rouse to get you to date me so, for the Princess' sake, would you please just fuck me already'."
Janus clicked his fingers and a cloth appeared over Rose's mouth.
"Wow, real mature." She tried to mumble. The gag was tightened.
After the battle, after Janus had been 'defeated', Remus was clumsily trying to undo the rope around her wrists. And fretting.
"You don't think I was too ridiculous, do you?" He asked quietly. "I wasn't too pompous or assured in my own heroics?"
"You were fine, Remus." Rose assured him with a roll of her eyes.
"But I even dropped my sword!"
"He was choking you. I think even someone who wasn't desperate for his dick would've dropped their sword."
"Rose!" Remus blushed even brighter. Rose laughed, rubbing her wrists. She stood up and dusted her dress down.
"You know," she said, "next time this happens, I would just ask him out. You clearly like him."
"Nu-uh." Remus shook his head. "Never. I'm not putting up with be rejected by an evil overlord."
Rose glanced up to Janus' 'super-secret' lair. She could see Janus' very pink face poking out through a window.
She snorted. "I wouldn't exactly say evil... Besides, how d'you know he'd even reject you?"
"You want a list?"
This is my... apology for yesterday. Sorry!
Bye,
Blaize
