This song screams Demus to me and I- I'm going to absolutely die, they're wonderful
Song above if you want to listen to it

Wise men say
Only fools rush in

Janus knew he was probably falling too far, too fast. They'd only been dating for a month. It was too early to tell whether they wanted this thing (relationship, they supposed was the correct term) to become their commitment.

And Remus was only one person, after all. It was stupid - so idiotically, unequivocally stupid - to say Janus was in love after only a month (and maybe a good few years of pining).

Oh, but I can't help falling in love with you

But the problem was that every time Remus appeared - silver crucifix bouncing wildly as it ran - and grinned that grin at Janus, Janus fell in love all over again.

Every time Remus ranted about how 'X Grinch film' didn't actually do the story of The Grinch justice, Janus felt his heart melt a little more.

Every time Remus checked up on them, made sure they'd eaten, slept, wasn't upset or panicking about anything, Janus felt like they just wanted to kiss him breathless.

Because it was completely impossible not to fall in love with Remus.

Shall I stay?
Would it be a sin?

That was what Remus would wonder sometimes. Was it a sin that he was so in love with someone who wasn't a girl?

Was it a sin that it wasn't a boy?

Life hadn't always been the kindest to Remus. Neither had his family.

Still, it had kept hope and kept its faith. There was a plan for him. There had to be.

If I can't help falling in love with you

And when Janus laughed at one of the jokes he would've been punished for at home, Remus knew this was the plan.

When Janus skidded over to it in the snow, red from the cold and with snowflakes in their hair, all doubt was banished from Remus' mind.

When Janus blushed and threw flour at Remus when he'd convinced them to bake together, Remus knew he couldn't stop falling in love with them even if he wanted to.

Like a river flows
Surely to the sea

"Rem, are you falling asleep already?" Janus asked. Remus jumped and opened his eyes. "The film's barely started."

Remus shuffled around slightly. He looked up and was met with Janus' ice blue gaze, completely adoring.

"No." It mumbled sleepily. "Just resting my eyes."

Janus laughed and pressed a small kiss to Remus' forehead. "I love you, you idiot."

Remus grinned. "Love you too." He managed to say without croaking. It still wasn't used to those three words being used for anything other than manipulation.

Darling, so it goes
Some things are meant to be

Sometimes Remus did wonder, yeah. Was this really what was good for him?

But then Janus would do or say something wonderful and witty and completely, utterly Janus and Remus would be reminded that God had let this happen with a plan in mind. And Remus would thank the Lord that the plan was this. Was Janus.

Take my hand

"Hey, Jan, hold on!" Janus laughed under his breath and fell back, waiting for Remus to catch up.

Remus slid over to them, grabbing onto their arm. It glared at Janus. "Why'd you leave me on the slippery cobbles?!" He whined. "You know I have no coordination."

Janus laughed. "Oh my gosh-" They shook their head and didn't finish the sentence. "Look, just hold my hand and I can drag you along. Deal?"

Take my whole life too

Remus glared at him. "Fine." He grabbed Janus' hand and laced their fingers together. "I've got you now, you'll never escape!"

Janus grinned crookedly and pressed a kiss to the top of Remus' head. "Oh no, how will I ever survive?" He asked, dead monotone. Remus rolled its eyes.

"Shut up." He mumbled. Janus laughed.

For I can't help falling in love with you

They are adorable and own my entire heart. I did not chose this ship, this ship grabbed me and ran away to shove me in a cave somewhere.
I'm stuck, I don't know how to get out. Help me.
Bye,
Blaize
