Remus sat down next to Roman with a dramatic sigh.
Roman ignored him.
Remus frowned and sighed again, closer to Roman's ear. Still, nothing.
Remus shook him a little.
"What?" Roman glared at his brother. Remus sighed dramatically again.
"I have a problem-"
"And I have homework." Roman turned back to his Food Tech. homework. "Plus, I couldn't care less."
Remus glared at the side of Roman's head. "It's a love problem."
Roman shut his book immediately, not even bothering to finish his sentence. He turned to Remus and leaned his head on his hand expectantly. "I'm listening."
"Oh, don't look at me like that!" Remus protested. "It's nothing serious, it's just a crush."
"Alright, alright, whatever." Roman rolled his eyes, a move he'd definitely learnt from his emo boyfriend. "Are they gay? Who are they? Pronouns? And how can I get you two together?"
"Yes, no, he/they, never in a million years," Remus said, checking every point off on his fingers. "He is far too good for me."
"Re, you're a Winston." Roman flipped open his book. "No one's too good for us."
"They are, though."
"I highly doubt that, who are they, Jesus?" Roman scoffed.
"Hey, Roman?" Both Winston twins glanced up at the new voice.
Janus scratched the back of his head awkwardly. "Sorry to interrupt but d'you have my stimulus research? I think I left it at your house."
"Oh, yeah, wondered when you were gonna come pick that up." Roman threw his backpack on the table with a clang and opened it up. He extracted a very beaten up folder and pulled a neat collection of typed pages out of it. "Here y'are." He handed them to Janus. "Thanks for helping me with that, again."
"It's no problem." Janus glanced through the research with a small smile on their face. They looked back up at Roman. "Helping you helps us all. Can't have one character in the entire play not know what they're doing."
Roman laughed and shook his head. "I'll just improvise."
"That's what I'm worried about."
Roman flipped him off. "See you in Drama," he said good-naturedly. As much as he and Janus pretended to hate each other, they were alright really.
"See you, asshat." Janus left, shaking their head as they went.
"But come on, Re, just tell me-" Roman turned to his brother and stopped dead.
Remus was trying very hard to not obviously stare at Janus as they left. He was failing. He was also blushing.
Roman let out a cackle. Remus jumped and looked at him.
"Janus?!" Roman yelled. "You like Janus?"
Remus made a few furious noises and started whacking Roman's shoulder with the palms of his hands.
"Don't tell the whole school!" He said, slamming his full body weight into Roman's shoulder. Roman laughed, grabbing the table to stop himself toppling off. "And don't laugh at me!"
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry-" Another round of laughter cut Roman off. He laid his face on the table. He was actually crying from laughter.
Remus slapped him in the back of the neck. "Shut uuup!" He whined.
"Just a crush, huh?" Roman asked between weak giggles. "Damn, if that's just a crush, Re, I'd hate to see you in love."
Just a short little thing. Hope you liked it :)
Bye,
Blaize
