Draco looks at you, and you look at Severus. "You're bleeding" Severus says, pushing away your hair and revealing the same wound from before. "It didn't stop?" you ask confused and put up your own hand, hitting the wound directly and flinching as the dirt from your hands stung. "We have to find Potter and you need a bandage to stop the bleeding, let's go to the great hall" Draco suggests, putting an arm around you and you eye Severus for his approval.
"It's not necessarily a deep wound but if it doesn't stop bleeding it could impact your abilities. I also still have something to show to you and Potter, something I've kept away for too long. You deserve to know on this possible last night" he says and takes both your and Draco's hands to quickly apparate near the castle again.

As you make your way across the empty courtyard, debris and broken pieces of what once were walls blocking your path ever so often.
You make your way to the Entrance Hall, where you come across professor McGonagall who stops her tracks to stare at Severus. "Minerva, can I talk to you?" he immediately announces and she hesitantly nods. "But make it quick, the Great Hall needs me. And you too" she says and vanishes with him. So, Draco takes your hand and you enter the Great Hall, met by the smell of burned clothes, blood and death. Everyone turned around at the same time and the Hall falls silent at the picture of Draco and you.
"Hey! You two saved my life!" Fred Weasley shouts and runs over to you, grabbing you to go to his family.
"I- it really was nothing, don't act like I did the impossible" you stutter, overwhelmed by the whole of the Weasley's looking at you in disbelief.
"Are you sure? She saved your life?" Ron Weasley says and looks at Potter and Granger. "Yes, I wouldn't mistake them. Malfoy also helped, they stopped the concrete from hitting me, they saved me" he says and gestures Malfoy to come in the circle. "I cannot thank you enough for saving my son's life" the mother says, looking at both you and Draco. "I cannot believe that Malfoy and you even saved another persons life willingly" Potter states and shakes his head. "I told you, Harry Potter. We may wear the mark, but we aren't monsters" you reply and take a little batch of disinfectant wipes to clean your wound and put on a bandaid to stop the bleeding shortly.
"You have to come with her, Potter- It's about professor Snape" Draco says and gestures Harry to come over.
"It's better to have friends in war. We aren't asking for forgiveness or trust- but we are asking for companionship" you say and go out of the Hall, letting the necklace show you where Severus was waiting and squeezing Draco's hand goodbye.

To your surprise, Harry actually follows you and you meet with Severus at the bottom of the Grand Staircase. "You've brought Mr. Potter I see. Take this flask and bring it to the Pensieve in the Headmaster's Office" Severus orders and you nod, taking the flask and Harry follows you.
"Why are you suddenly helping us? All of you, Snape, Malfoy- Everyone" he asks as you open up the staircase to the office and walk up. "The Dark Lord's biggest weakness is putting his trust in the people that play their lies too well. If you have more questions after this I can answer them, but only if I can trust you with the truth" you say and take out the flask as you walk along the office to the Pensieve. "I swear to you that you can trust me with your secrets" Harry says and you nod, pouring in the flask. "Here are your first answers" you exclaim, hiding the fact you never knew yourself. Or, didn't know what aspects you never knew would expose themselves now.

Two girls are on a meadow. One of them, the red-haired one, let's a flower bloom in her hand. The other is shocked, slapping her hand away and running after the other. "I'm gonna tell Mummy! You're a freak. You're a freak, Lily! Come here." A boy steps out of a tree, making the other girl run away. He picks up a little plant and sends it off flowing to Lily, who receives it with a smile on her face.
Now, they were at a lake, laying next to each other. "She's jealous because she's ordinary and you're special" the boy says. "That's mean, Severus" Lily replies. The little plants around them start flying and Lily giggles as they speed across the sky.
"Gryffindor!" the sorting hat shouts, revealing Lily's house to everyone. Severus watches her greet a boy, named James.
Soon after, James would push Severus, sending his and Lily's books flying. Every time, Severus picked the books up and hands it to Lily again.
It switches to James and Lily, dancing with each other.
Suddenly you're watching a Procephy, but then you see Severus, now as an adult, together with Dumbledore. "The prophecy did not refer to a woman. It spoke of a boy born at the end of July" Dumbledore says. "Yes, but he thinks it's her son. He intends to hunt them down now, to kill them. Hide her. Hide them all. I beg you" Severus replies, looking worried. "What will you give me in exchange, Severus?" Dumbledore asks.
"Anything."
A sudden switch between flashes of a baby and his mother, then the death spell-
and you're back at Hogwarts.
"You said you would keep her safe" Severus said to Dumbledore, who's stood at a window in the astrology tower. "Lily and James put their faith in the wrong person, Severus. Rather like you. The boy survives."
"He doesn't need protection. The Dark Lord is gone" Severus bursts out, angry and mourning. "The Dark Lord will return. And when he does, the boy will be in terrible danger. He has her eyes. If you truly loved her-"
"No one can know."
"That I should never reveal the best of you, Severus?"
"Your word."
"When you risk your life every day to protect the boy?"
The pictures flash, it's Harry getting chosen to be in Gryffindor, Severus and he arguing.
"He possesses no measurable talent, his arrogance rivals that of his father and he seems to relish his fame."
"Don't say a word against my father!" Harry shouts. "James Potter?" asks Severus. "Lazy, arrogant."
"My father was a great man!"
"Your father was a swine!"
Severus breaks down in the hallway, James Potter dead on the ground-
then he is with you, in the office.
You're crying as you tell him how Umbridge used the curse on you and Severus is taken aback-
then he is with Dumbledore again.
"Drink the rest. It will contain the curse to your hand for the time being. It will spread, Albus."
"How long?"
"Maybe a year" Severus says and walks out. "Don't ignore me, Severus" Dumbledore speaks. "We both know Lord Voldemort has ordered the Malfoy boy to murder me, maybe with support from the Y/L/N girl. But should he fail, one should presume the Dark Lord will turn to you. You must be the one to kill me, Severus. It is the only way. Only then will the Dark Lord trust you completely."
Severus steps up the staircase, killing Dumbledore with the curse of death.
"There will come a time when Harry Potter must be told something. But you must wait until Voldemort is at his most vulnerable" Dumbledore says from his desk.
"Must be told what?"
"On the night, where Voldemort went to Godric's Hollow to kill Harry and Lily Potter cast herself between them the course rebounded. When that happened, a part of Voldemort's soul latched itself onto the only living thing it could find: Harry himself. There's a reason Harry can speak with snakes. There's a reason he can look into Lord Voldemorts mind. A part of Voldemort lives inside him."
Severus slightly shakes his head, he seems confused and dumbfounded.
"So when the time comes, the boy must die?"
"Yes. Yes. He must die."
You're back in the Potter's house, Severus is crying and laying on the floor at the sight of Lily's body, the young baby Harry as well.
"You've kept him alive so that he can die at the proper moment. You've been raising him like a pig for slaughter."
"Don't tell me now that you've grown to care for the boy?"
Severus' lips tremble and he casts his Patronus, the doe running around the room in it's bright glow, then vanishing at the glass of a window.
"Lily. After all this time?"
"Always."
There he was, holding Lily's body tight in his arms as he cries in the child's room, next to his crib.
Then, you see a lake and the doe patronus running along it, Harry looking at it from afar. But he was old again, it must be recent.
"So when the time comes, the boy must die?"
"Yes, he must die. Voldemort himself must do it. That is essential."
