Okay the book is officially on the roll, please tell me how it's going so far. I want you guys to be able to just read without my commentary, so I'll probably be doing less of it as the book goes on. But since this is the first time, Imma get as much out as I can. I want you guys to picture Evangeline as a sweet, polite, respectful person who has no idea of the outside world. With my other books that I've made, I wanted to change the girl's personality this time to a more innocent/kind one lmao. Again, I hope you're liking this book so far!

It was roughly around five a.m. the sky was a soft dark blue, the stars were slowly dimming out. As I got ready, a knock at the door echoed about my room. " Come in," I said as I put my journal into my bag. The door opened, Dante walked in with something in his hand. " You ready?" Dante asked. " Yeah," I sighed. As I looked at him, I could steel see the anger in his eyes. " Mom and dad have no right to do this to you," Dante said. " They do, Dante," I said back. I didn't want to admit it, but I knew this was going to happen soon enough. " I knew it, you knew it, everyone knew that this was going to happen," I said folding my arms. I looked at Dante, not knowing when he'd be able to come to terms with all this.

" I don't like the idea of you being in Rome, especially with a family we've never met before. You've barely even left the house, and Rome is the last place you should be in," Dante said. " I'll be fine, I can take care of myself you know." Dante scoffed, " Italy is a dark and very dangerous place, filled with sick and twisted people. Other mafia families, who wouldn't think twice to kill anyone in our family, are highly known in Rome." " I know your upset," I began to say. " I'm fucking pissed, Evangeline," Dante sternly said. I sighed, " I don't want you to go," Dante said. I frowned, " Dante, you and I both know that I won't stay here no matter what anyone says." Dante shook his head before sitting down on the edge of my bed, " this is all fucking messed up, you are the last person that this should be happening to."

Forcing myself to smile, I said assuringly, " I'll be fine, I'll be protected by the people I'm staying with." Dante nodded, " as well as the thing I'm giving you." As he stood up, I frowned slightly as he handed me something wrapped in leather. " Just don't kill yourself okay?" Dante asked as I unwrapped what was in my hand. I scoffed softly as a brand new dagger lay in my hand. " Mom and dad," I began to say. " I don't care what they'll say or what they do," Dante cut me off. " You're going to Rome, living there for who knows how long. I want you to be able to protect yourself when others can't protect you." I looked at Dante and said sincerely, " thank you." Setting the dagger on my bag, I turned and hugged him. Pulling me closer so that the side of my face was snug up against his chest, Dante hugged me back.

" This place won't be the same without you," Dante said. Tears filled my eyes, to say my brothers were the few people that I looked up to was an understatement. I loved each one with my whole heart, I enjoyed hearing their stories about their work. Their laughs, how they teased each other, and me, it was the one thing I'd never trade anything for. " I love you, never forget that," Dante said softly. I closed my eyes, " I won't." A knock at the door ended Dante's and I's little moment. My bedroom door opened, both Mateo and Diego walked in. " Did we interrupt something?" Mateo teased as he saw me wipe away the tears on my cheeks. Dante glared at him, " you ready to go?" Diego asked walking up to me. " Yeah," I sighed whipping my hands on the sides of my pants.

Mateo picked up my dagger before looking at Dante, " where the hell did she get this?" " I got it for her," Dante informed Mateo as he folding his arms. Diego averted his eyes to the dagger in Mateo's hand, " you bought her a fucking dagger?" A smile crept across Dante's face, a shocked scoff emitted from his mouth. " Damn Eva," Mateo said looking at me. I folded my arms, " I'll only use it when I need to." " You're going to Rome, Italy," Mateo reminded me as he looked at me. " Dante should've gotten you a god forsaken gun." Slight fear gleamed in my eyes, caught it Dante's attention. " Okay, why the hell are you guys here?" Dante asked in annoyance. " The cars here, dad and mom wanted us to come check up on Eva," Diego informed. " So they sent you two dumbasses to get us?" Dante asked. Mateo clenched his jaw before saying, " they wanted to make sure our sister hadn't been given murderous   weapons."
