Song: Best part by H.E.R- the song is for later on in the chapter when Evangeline and Domenico go up to their rooms after talking to Mrs. Berlusconi and Domenico's sisters:)

I spent a month and a half in the hospital, Domenico stood by my side the whole time, ordering doctors and nurse to check my vitals and the baby's, making sure that everything was right and healthy. The pain had gone away, as well as the bruise marks that had covered my body. I had surgery on my face, after everything that had happened, I had to get my nose fixed, as well as my jaw. As hard as I knew it was for him to talk about, Domenico opened up to me, explaining how he knew Giuliano took me, how he felt when he found me tied up in the cell, and everything that followed after.

After I had been chocked nearly to death, my brain couldn't remember anything after that incident. I wanted to know what happened, I wanted to know if I told Giuliano what he tortured me into telling him. After everything Domenico told me, and after what I could remember, a part of me didn't want the memories I couldn't recollect to become clear again. I was safe now, in a hospital with people who refused to do anything but attend to my crucial needs, my own and my baby.

Entering the room, Domenic had a tray full of food in his hands. A grin spread out across my face as Domenico said, " I didn't know what you wanted, so I got everything." I nodded as I chuckled, " an apple, or even a salad would've been perfect, but thank you." " You're eating for two know," Domenico reminded me as he placed the tray down on my lap. " I'd force the hospital to make you hamburger or a god damn steak, but the service here is shit." I smiled, " I'm better now because of the service here." Domenico scoffed, " you could've gotten better faster if other people weren't fucking selfish." I laughed as Domenico grinned, he sat down in a chair beside me. " I'm not the only injured patient in this place, you know that, right?" I asked. Domenico frowned and asked sarcastically, " you mean to tell me, there are more people in this place?"

I rolled my eyes as Domenico grinned, this felt good. I didn't know when the last time it was when I laughed, I mean really laughed. " Okay," I sighed as I averted my attention down to the plate of food on my lap. " Fuck," Domenico grunted a she stood up. I immediately frowned as my eyes averted up to him. " I didn't get you a drink, I'll be right back," Domenico informed me. The corners of my lips tugged up, I shook my head in utter admiration as Domenico spun around, running out of the room as if he was some kid who saw a candy store down the street.

I sighed softly as I looked down at my stomach. " You still in there?" I murmured softly. I chewed on my bottom lip as I thought, I was utterly chocked that this baby had made it through everything we went through. " I can't wait to meet you," I whispered as a smile formed onto my face. Right as I looked up, I chuckled as I watched Domenico run up to the room. Two cups filled his hands, " I didn't know what you wanted," Domenico said as he approached me. I nodded, " I am pleased with whatever you bring me." Sighing, Domenico said, " water or lemonade?" Eyeing the two cups I said, " hmm, lemonade." Smiling in satisfaction, Domenico handed me the pink tinted cup before he placed the water cup on the table at the end of my bed.

" So, besides glueing yourself to me, what have you done here?" Domenico scoffed, " you think I have other important things to do here?" I smiled, " Evangeline, you and our baby will forever be the two most important things to me," Domenico once again reminded me. " Don't think for one damn second that I'd spend my time helping others in here." I raised my eyebrows as Domenico added, " so, a thank you would be all." I laughed, Domenico's eyes gleamed as a grin took over his face. " Thank you, Domenico Berlusconi, for your service," I said. Nodding, Domenico replied, " your welcome, my love." I shook my head as Domenic leaned back in his chair.
