Leo had invited me to tag along with his siblings for brunch. Since I didn't know much about Rome, I decided that I wanted to spend all today exploring the city. As much as I tried to push past this morning, that was the one thing my mind refused to ignore. I could still feel his hand around my neck, him pressing my wrists against the wall, and his lips on mine. The feeling in my core has partly gone, barely leaving a dull, fluttery sensation. I inhaled deeply, I hadn't seen Domenic since our interaction in my room, and knowing that I had to see him later on tonight made me feel nauseous

A knock at the door cut off my daze, grabbing my things, I walked over to the door and opened it. " Hey, you ready?" Leo asked. I smiled, " yeah." Walking out into the hall, I closed my door before following Leo downstairs. " There's this restaurant that we think you'll like," Leo informed. " Anything in Rome sounds good," I said. Leo grinned, " good, because we always order a lot of food.

" Is Domenico going?" I asked casually. " No," Leo sighed. " He's got a shit ton of work, I'm surprised he's going out with us tonight." Part of me was slightly disappointed, but it also didn't phase me that he'd be staying in today. As Gio walked down the stairs, he smiled as he saw me, " you made it." Turning, I grinned as Gio walked up to me. Picking me up and holding onto me tightly, Gio spun me around. I laughed as I kept my arms around his neck, Gio eventually chuckled before placing me back down onto my feet. " Alright, Mya and the others are coming," Leo informed us. Right as I looked up at the stairs, Luca descended down the stairs with his sisters. Luca's eyes flashed onto me for a second, before averting themselves onto his brothers.

" There's this amazing restaurant we're going to," Isabella said. " I already told her dumbass," Leo scoffed. Looking at Leo, Isabella said in annoyance, " Jesus, I wasn't fucking talk to you." I smiled, " alright," Geo said. He sighed, " are we all ready to go?" Folding my arms, I glanced at Luca before looking back at Geo. I wanted to talk to him, I wanted to say something to him but I also wanted to respect Lucas' boundaries. " Domenico's not coming?" Sofia asked. "Works crawling up his ass," Leo said. " He'd ruin the fun anyway." " Have you guys ever done anything he'd enjoy doing?" I asked. Everyone looked at me, " Domenico doesn't like doing anything, unless it involves his work and getting money," Mya informed me. I scoffed softly, highly doubting that. " Maybe if you sat down next to him while he worked, you'd have fun too," Luca said.

I looked at him, Luca looked at me before averting his attention down to the ground. I frowned slightly, was Luca mad at me? I was listening to what he wanted me to do, I was giving him the space he asked for, what was I do wrong? " Jesus Christ, we're leaving okay?" Gio chuckled. " Fine by me," Sofia said, dropping her phone into her purse. Gio turned to me, "after you." Forcing a smile onto my face, I turned and made my way outside to the car.

The mornings in Rome were always my favorite. The way the sky looked, from the fresh smell, to how peaceful everything always seemed to feel. As I sat in the car, my mind seemed to only want to think about that night in Rome. The feeling of rough, duty hands on me made my skin crawl. Remembering what those men kept saying to me, how they taunted me, I utterly terrified. " You think you can handle being alone now without your brothers?" Gio asked me, cutting off my thoughts. I smiled as I looked at him, " they're just protective." " That's an absolute understatement," Leo said. " They're fucking insane, I've never seen you without them glued to your side." " I am the only girl in my family," I informed Leo and Gio. " You'd understand why my brothers are protective if you had one sister and not five," I simply said. " Well, you're practically our family now," Geo said. " If you haven't noticed, we're not up each other's asses every second of the day," Luca said from the front of the car.
