Okay, how was the last chapter?! Overall, are you guys enjoying the book so far? Imma just say this now, writing all the way up until now took me a long ass time, but I'm happy that I've got all it done😅. I'm not even going to lie, writing about how Evangeline literally got abused by Giuliano had me in tears . I've been writing Evangeline out to be this innocent, clean, good girl and having Giuliano literally beat and choke her nearly killed me😭😭.
Anyway, please, all feed back is encouraged and welcome. I want positive and negative feedback, so I know what everyone's thinking. I hope you're all enjoying this book so far and continue reading it!
Again, please comment, like, and vote!!💗.
It was well past noon, I could barely keep my eyes open as I stood in the bathroom. Standing in front of the sink, I finished brushing my teeth as I cleaned some things up. Last night was rough, Domenico had endless business calls as well as a few last minute meetings. While he attended to his work, I either spent the majority of the time throwing up or not being able to stand up without feeling nauseous. A long yawn slipped out from me as I continued brushing my teeth. The sound of footsteps approaching the bathroom door forced me to turn around. Leaning against the doorframe as he slid his hands into his pockets, an amused look filled Domenico's eyes as he stared at me.
" What?" I mumbled with toothpaste in my mouth. I wore nothing but a black bra and short, loose pajama shorts. Spitting out the toothpaste, and washing out my mouth, I turned towards Domenico, " why are you looking at me like that?" A soft chuckle left Domenico's mouth as he walked up to me. " Don't even say I look good, because I don't," I warned Domenico as I pointed a finger at him. Domenico smiled as he took my hand in his before kissing my knuckles. " You will forever be my definition of beautiful," Domenico murmured as he slid his arms around my waist. I shook my head, " I literally spent all night throwing up, not to forget, I couldn't stand up without feeling nauseous."
Turning me around, Domenico faced me in front of the mirror as he wrapped his arms around my stomach. An uncontrolled smile wavered itself across my face as Domenico kissed my cheek. " And yet, you still look absolutely beautiful to me," Domenico murmured. I scoffed as he kissed the top of my ear before slowly moving down to my collarbone. The smile on my face slowly disappeared as I thought about the argument I had with Luca last night. Seeing the slight irritation in my eyes, Domenico asked, " you okay?" I inhaled deeply before nodding, " yeah, I just, so much has happened and I can't take it all in."
" Do you want to try to get more sleep?" Domenico suggested. I shook my head, " it's pointless, sleep is the last thing I'll be able to get." Closing my eyes as Domenico gently began massaging my shoulders, I rested my head back against his chest. Opening my eyes, I instantly turned and faced Domenico before saying, " we should go out tonight." The light and contentment in Domenico's eyes and face immediately vanished out of his body. " We could go to a restaurant and then walk around the park," I suggested as excitement filled my tone. Inhaling deeply, Domenico rubbing the bridge of his nose. " You've been working all night, and we both barely got any sleep," I reminded Domenico as he stared at me. " This is the exactly what we need, Domenico you can't tell me that you don't want to get out of here."
" Evangeline, you're not leaving this house," Domenico asserted calmly. My shoulders dropped slightly as the fulfilling, eagerness of going out tonight disappeared. Domenico scoffed before asking, " do you not remember what happened the last time you went outside?" How couldn't I possibly forget? I nearly died, parts of my body still hurt, my brain would forever be traumatized from what Giuliano did to me. " I know, but," I began to say. " I almost lost you, Evangeline," Domenico said, with slight irritation in his tone. " I saw you in that hospital room, Evangeline you looked dead," Domenic reminded me.
