Song: Halo by Beyoncé- the song is for when Domenico and Evangeline are out on their date. I felt like the song was appropriate for the setting:).
Okay guys, so I'm actually really excited for the this chapter because it's going to be In Domenico's pov. I feel like we've been reading too much on Evangeline's pov, so I decided to freshen up with Domenico's view on everything. I've never really written a lot from the man's perspective, so I hope I can get this right and make Domenico out to be the man I envisioned him as.
Anyway, how'd you guys like the last chapter? I know I wrote a lot of... intimate stuff, but I know y'all weren't going to complain anyway😭. Again, I hope y'all are enjoying this book and tend to keep reading it. I think/hope I'll be writing more from Domenico's pov, but for now enjoy.
Again, please, comment, like, and vote!!💗.
The smell of Evangeline lingered on me as well as the air in bathroom. Buttoning my pants back on, I grabbed my clothes as I made my way back into the bedroom. The corners of my mouth perked up as I saw her peacefully laying in bed. Her sable, chocolate colored hair hid itself underneath the many white fluffy sheets that had devoured her body. Dropping my clothes on the floor, a smile crept its way across my face as I got onto the bed. Evangeline's shoulder peaked out from underneath the sheets. Lowering my head, I softly kissed her shoulder before traveling down to the crook of her neck.
The softness of her hair sent an unexpected sensation throughout my body as I inhaled her scent. Dipping my hand underneath the sheets, the warmth of Evangeline's body tied its self around my mind. As I wrapped my arm around around her bare waist, pulling her dozing body towards my chest, I could feel ever curve on Evangeline's body. Her body was like a work of art that was untouchable, not on sale for anybody but me. Her smooth, olive skin
glowed below me, allowing me to once again realize that she was real, that all of this was real.A soft groan left Evangeline's mouth as she began to awake. I held back a chuckle as locs of hair covered Evangeline's at eased face. A soft rosy hue tinted her cheeks, she was simply perfect. Evangeline slept as if there were no problems in the world that she had to face. I knew Evangeline's life was at risk, the second our arrangement was made. I knew the many enemies I had encountered would quickly come for Evangeline. I brushed my finger against her cheek, she was such an innocent soul that had no choice but to live and breathe in such a demented world. The world I lived in was utterly dark, and Evangeline happened to be the life swarming with light I had craved, but forced myself to be deprived of. I was ruthless, cold, selfish, while Evangeline was utterly pure, selfless, and completely devoted to anyone around her.
As egotistical as it sounded, I never wanted Evangeline to wake up. I never wanted her to experience the darkness and wrath my life would soon enhance upon her. As I watched Evangeline, I could feel my heart quicken by the second. She was my guardian angel, my safe haven, my everlasting source of air.
Inhaling deeply, Evangeline smiled as she felt my arm around her waist. " I was beginning to think you left," Evangeline murmured softly as she turned her head up to me. A smile slipped across my face, Evangeline inhaled deeply before affirming, " have you checked up on your work yet?" I shook my head in disbelief, Evangeline chuckled before saying, " I'm just worried that you're going to get behind or in trouble." I sighed as I stared down at Evangeline, admiration filled my eyes. " Hey," Evangeline smiled as she nudged me. " Don't worry about my work, okay?" I employed. I kissed her on the forehead as she said, " you and I both know you're not going to do it unless someone tells you to." I chuckled as I shook my head, " it's true," Evangeline added. " Why am I shocked that that someone is you?" I asked. Evangeline grinned, " what a coincidence."
