Song: Keep me afraid by Nessa Barret- the song is for when Evangeline is being led down to the cellars later on in the book.
Okay, I lied lmaoo😁😁. I told you that there wouldn't be anymore pov's from Domenico, but there will be more soon. As much as I want to tell you, and spoil the whole surprise, I won't😉. I don't know, I honestly like writing from Domenico's pov that Evangeline's. I feel like I'm more descriptive and genuine with Domenico that I am with Evangeline, I don't know, you guys tell me in the comments🤷🏽♀️😭.
Anyway, how was the last chapter? I feel like I'm adding a lot now in each chapter, so I'm sorry if things feel a little squished. I want this book to not be as long as my first book, "Million Dollar Mafia," that book was way too long but I still loved it.
(P.S, if you haven't read the first book I wrote, "Million Dollar Mafia" you definitely should!!😁.)
I honestly want to know how y'all feel about Giuliano. I know I didn't add a picture for his character, so again like I said before when I first introduced him, just imagine him like some bad Italian mobster😭😭.
Okay, I'm saying a lot and I want you guys to read more!! How's the book going so far? What do you guys like and dislike? All commentary is absolutely wanted, so please, I accept all positive and negative feedback☺️. I hope you're enjoying this book as much as I am writing it, and I hope more than anything that you stay and read until the end. More exciting things will start to happen in this chapter, throughout this book, till the end. Again, I hope you're enjoying this book, and many more to come!!
Again, please comment, like, and vote!!💗.
The sound of rustling movement stirred me awake. A hushed groan escaped my mouth. The coldness of the room hugged tightly onto me, as if I was it's only source of heat. The loud ruckus of metal clanging together caused my mind to come out of its deep slumber. My eyes lazily opened, I yawned as my body stretched itself. I instantly froze, realizing that I was in bed. " I must say, I was a bit shocked to have found you asleep on the ground," a young voice suddenly said. My heart skipped a beat as I sprung up in my bed, completely unaware that I wasn't in my room.
A woman in black slacks and a white shirt stood behind a cart, fixing up some sort of steaming drink. " I uh, I think you have the wrong room," I stuttered out as I immediately got out of bed. " This should make you feel better," the woman said as she poured some sort of brown liquid with a straw into a purple mug. I hadn't seen any women in this house ever since I got here, and seeing one now utterly surprised me. The woman looked up to me, " you're Evangeline, right?" A soft Italian accent laced her question. " Yes, but," I began to say as I folded my arms. " This will help with the tension and the baby," the woman suddenly brought up.
My shoulders dropped as my heart skipped at least a hundred beats. An uncomfortable feeling glowed within my body, forcing me to take a step back away from the bed. " I'm not going to hurt you, Evangeline," the woman assured as she looked up at me. " Who are you, and how do you know my name?" I asked cautiously. The woman smiled, " how long have you been here?" I asked. " Something a pregnant woman shouldn't do is worry," the woman informed. My brows lowered as I asked cooly, " who the hell are you, and how do you know my name?"
Understanding my uneasiness, the woman smiled warmly as she answered, " my names Maria, I've heard all about you." " All about me?" I asked. " From who, where?" " The house talks," Maria said as she picked up the mug from off the cart. " What's that supposed to mean?" I asked. " Sit, relax, and drink this," Maria ordered. I raised my eyebrows, " I don't know who you are, so don't think for one second that I'm going to listen to you or drink whatever the hell is in that mug." Maria stared at me, " I'm pregnant, I'm terrified, and quite frankly I'm starving, so don't fucking start ordering me around," I spat out.
