Okay, time to check in!! How's the book so far? I personally am liking Luca a bit more... how about you? I know this book so far is kinda long, but I promise it's going to get better. Do you guys like how protective Evangeline's brothers are on her? I don't know if I like it or not lmaoo. Anyway, again how is the book so far, I realllyy want to know. All commentary is wanted. I hope you enjoying everything!!

" You we're in the training room?" Dante asked me as I sat on my bed. I sighed, " yes, but Luca was there." Scoffing, Dante asked, " your point is?" I shook my head, " Alessandro had no right to hit Luca." Dante chuckled, " have you learned nothing from this?" " That no matter what I do, Luca gets hurt because of me?" I asked. Dante ran his hand through his hair as he sat down next to me, " you have five protective brothers, be happy you get to see Luca at all." Looking at Dante, I said softly, " I do defend people without knowing them, don't I?" The smile on Dante's face slipped off, " you were right the whole time," I simply said averting my eyes down to my hands. " Nobody in this family is as loving, encouraging, and honestly respectful as you are," Dante said looking at me. " And people are getting hurt because of me," I said tucking a strand of hair behind my ear. " Luca is a dumbass who knows I'll kill him if he touches you," Dante said. " Can you guys please just be nice to him?" I pleaded, averting my eyes back up to Dante. Shaking his head, Dante said, " Evangeline, we're not going to stop being protective over you just because some dumbass likes you."

" Dante, Luca's done nothing bad to you guys," I scoffed as I stood up from the bed. " Why can't you all just leave him alone?" Dante sighed before standing up, " it's not going to happen right?" " Dante," I began to say as pleading filled my tone. " We can do this all day, but I won't change my mind," Dante said folding his arms. Shaking my head in annoyance, I was about to turn around when Dante softly grabbed my upper left arm, pulling me into a hug. My body instantly melted into Dante's chest, his hugs were always so mellow and consoled. " You mean the world to me Evangeline, and I won't allow anyone to hurt or take you away from me," Dante said softly. I inhaled deeply, I always knew that I meant a lot to Dante, but sometimes I felt like I was never able to see the world because of him and my brothers.

" We'll, I'm getting married in a few months so," I said as Dante let go of me. Dante scoffed as I said, " at least act like you like Domenico, please." Dante looked at me, " give me one good reason to like him." " Once I marry him, I won't be around you and the others anymore," I reminded Dante. I could see anger flicker in his eyes, making me sigh. " I'm not letting you go just because you're getting married," Dante assured me. I stared at him, I could see pain gleam in his eyes. " You're not going to loose me, I'll still be here," I said softly. " Yeah, I know," Dante sighed as he looked around the room. I smiled, Dante wasn't the sentimental type, but when he was, it made me feel content and happy.

My bedroom door burst open, all four of my brothers walked in. Turning, the smile on my face remained where it was smile, until my eyes locked onto Alessandro's. Alessandro stared at me before turning and heading over to the couches. " Is Luca okay?" I asked, knowing it would spike tension in the room. " He's a big boy Evangeline," Alessandro said in a slight mocking tone, " he'll get over it." Folding my arms, I looked at Alessandro and asked harshly, " how would you feel if people pushed you around and treated you like shit." All five of my brothers immediately looked at me, a thick knot instantly formed in my throat as I suddenly regretted what I said. Alessandro's jaw clenched as he stood up, his eyes burning into mine. I had never sworn in my life. With the tension I had between Alessandro, and the fight he had with Luca, I was upset and wasn't thinking at all when my outburst suddenly awoke.

" What did you just say?" Alessandro said, his dark eyes gleaming into mine. The brave feeling disappeared from within me as I stood before Alessandro. " You wanna say that again?" Alessandro asked sternly. " I-I didn't mean to say that," I stuttered out. " Alessandro, just sit down," Dante ordered as he took a step forward, standing behind me. " Say it again Evangeline," Alessandro said walking up to me. Right as I took a step back, inhaling deeply, Dante stepped in front of me." Back off," Diego said sternly as he glared into Alessandro's eyes. " Nah, I wanna hear what Evangeline has to say," Alessandro said shaking his head. " I won't tell you again," Dante warned coolly. Alessandro smiled before saying to me, " defend me Evangeline, isn't that what you do?" I looked at Diego, who simply shook his head, instructing me to stay quiet.
