The Miko That Transcended (Inuyasha/That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime)

Chapter 1

       I grasped the jewel from the bubbling purple miasma, the darkened jewel shining pink upon my touch. I sighed as I climbed down the carcass of our long time foe. Once I was safely down on the ground, I sighed with relief.

      I looked around at the battle field. There were a lot of demon corpses on the ground and thankfully it wasn't any allies. Craters, burns, blood, debris of the earth and demons were scattered everywhere. Inuyasha was killing of the last demons that made its way onto the battlefield. Sango and Miroku were panting up against a tree. Kirara and Jaken were over by Shippo and Rin to protect them. Even Ah-Un was there with his muzzles off to help protect.

     I looked around trying to find my mate but I was soon hugged from behind. I saw his claw hands rest upon my stomach. The magenta lines stood proudly on his hands. I turned my head with a smile and looked to his handsome face. His golden eyes stared down at me with worry and relief swirling in them. He leaned his head on my forehead, his silver tresses cascading around us like a curtain. Then he planted a kiss upon my lips, making us both growl with desire. I turned in his arms and placed a hand to his cheek, gently stroking his royal markings.

      "I only have one last thing and then we are free." I smiled up at him, nuzzling him.

      "Hn." He gave me a small smile. I looked down to the pink jewel that shined within the palm of my hand.

      "I wish the jewel never existed." I whispered my wish. The jewel shined bright before shooting into the air. Everyone had to cover their eyes at the sudden brightness. But for some reason, I alone could see what was happening. The jewel was sucking up all its power inside, swirling with my reiki inside of it. I furrowed my brows before it shot at me. It hit me square in the chest, making me gasp and fall to the ground.

       I immediately patted my body, finding no holes or wounds from the jewel. I sighed with relief but I had a sudden feeling of dread course through me. I looked around to everyone that was slowly blinking away the spots from their vision. I went to call for my mate but my voice didn't come out. My eyes widened as I reached out for Sesshomaru. I stared in horror when I saw my hand slowly disappearing.

       Maru! I screamed into our link. His head shot into my direction. His golden eyes widened when he saw me. He dashed to my body but his hands went through me. I don't know what's going on. I cried.

       Tears started to slide down my face. I wanted to hold my mate but my body was going through him. Tears swirled in those golden pools as well. This was not how I wanted to spend my final moments. Everyone with me but I couldn't say goodbye, let alone hug or kiss them goodbye. Sesshomaru let out a painful and sorrowful howl, gaining everyone's attention.

      "Momma!" "Kagome." "My Lady!" The entire group called as they ran over to me. I looked around my entire group. I may not be able to use my voice but they could still read lips.

     'Take care of yourselves. Know that I love you all. Live, Love, Laugh. Please even when I'm gone. I will watch over you, wherever this jewel takes me. You'll be in my thoughts everyday. Love you all.' I softly smiled at them before I turned to Sesshomaru. I knew it was pointless but I wanted him to know that I loved him. I leaned towards him and kissed him, well tried. 'I love you Maru!'

       "Mate, please don't leave me." He pleaded, trying to grab my body, hand, anything to keep me with him. When I felt the power go into his marking, I noticed that his body too was fading.

      "My Lord!" "Lord Sesshomaru!" "Sesshomaru!" "Daddy!" Everyone gasped. Sesshomaru looked down with wide eyes but they soon relaxed. He was happy with whatever was happening. I guess he was thinking we were leaving together so he wouldn't be alone anymore. He turned his head to his brother.
