Chapter 22

      I managed to get to my room, then went into my home space. I weakly opened the door to the town and called out to someone. Rin was the first one to answer my call and ran over to me.

      "Momma! You're back!" Rin smiled. "What's wrong?" She asked when she saw my face.

     "Momma is going into labor. I need Kaede, Hachi, Benny, Souei, Sesshomaru and Sango."

      "Okay, momma! Leave it to me. Go in and relax!" She gave a salute before running off.

      I chuckled as I shuffled over to my room in the townhouse. I groaned as I started to remove my clothes, going down to only a yukata. I managed to make it onto the bed when everyone arrived to my room. My mates had a panicked expression while Kaede, Sango and now Hachi came in and begun to help. Hachi took over and started to order Benimaru to get to hot water, the Souei some towels. He picked me up and cradled me in his arms.

       He told everyone that we were moving to his hospital to do this. Everyone agreed as we rushed all the way there. I could see my subordinates start to panic when they saw me in this state. I was focused on doing breathing exercises as I brought to the hospital.

      Once inside the delivery room, Hachi started to ask a million questions as he checked my vitals. I answered him honestly. He then had to check my cervix, which I knew about. Everyone else seemed to be confused on what was going on. He explained everything as he checked to see if I was properly dilated. My contractions came hard and fast. It wasn't even that long ago that my water broke and they were two mintues apart.

       Hachi told me that I was fully dilated and had Kaede take over. He was going to watch and help her where needed while Sango helped with washing the babies when they were born. Kaede got ready, telling me to push when I felt the urge, only with the contractions. After a couple of contractions, I felt the urge to push. So with the next one, I pushed with all my might. I groaned as I did this.

      Labor pain hurt like a bitch. Even when my side was torn open and my heart being stabbed didn't hurt this much. I stopped pushing when the contraction died. I crashed back to the bed a bit, trying to catch my breath. Sesshomaru came over, holding onto my hand, looking at me with worry. I gave a warm, weak smile, silently telling him that I was fine with my eyes. Soon I felt him tap into my link and his face immediately scrunched up with pain as another contraction hit.

     I pushed with the contraction, feeling the baby move. When the pain died down, I was left panting. Poor Sesshomaru was slightly panting as he tried to work out the pain. It warmed my heart to see that he wanted to work through this with me.

     "I see the head!" Kaede said as she got in between my legs to help the baby.

      With that as the incentive, I pushed once again with the contraction. I could feel her work around the baby and stretch me so it could go around its shoulders. As soon as the contraction died, I felt the pressure release from between my legs and then a loud cry erupted the room. Benimaru, Souei, Sesshomaru and Hachi all held their breaths as Kaede held up the child in hand. She looked at the babe.

      "It's a healthy boy." She said as she handed me him so I could have the first moment with my son.

      As soon as his small, slightly bloodied body hit my sweaty skin, I felt a bond form and my heart surged. Tears were welling up into my eyes. My son wiggled in my arms, taking in my scent. He gave a small cry before he got comfortable. I chuckled at the little darling. Kaede went to cut the umbilical cord but I quickly stopped her, making her looked at me confused.

      "From my time, the father is the one who would cut the cord." I smiled. "Giving off the scent, this is Benny's little boy."

       Kaede smiled, nodded her head and backed away. Benimaru walked over in a daze as he looked at the little darling in my arms. I could see his eyes gloss over with unshed tears before he went to where Kaede was. She guided him where to cut, which he used his sharp claws in a precise cut as she held him. She tied off the stump before handing Sango our son. I watched as she gave the little dear a bath.
