Chapter 24

      With the excursion to Dwargon over, I returned to Engrassia. The quadruplets were sleeping soundly on my back, loving the warmth. They refused to let me go since I returned. I think they didn't like me being gone for that long.

      "I will now announce the results of your final exams." I smiled as I stood behind my desk. All the children looked slightly worried but still confident. They were silent as they waited for the results. I sighed.

      "That bad?!" They screamed.

     "I'm sorry, but you all...." I smirked before I looked up. "Passed."

     They all screamed in relief.

    "Man, don't scare us like that!" Kenya shouted.

     "I figured we all need a surprise now and then." I chuckled.

     "Whew, thank goodness." Kenya sighed as he sat back down.

     "I wasn't worried about a thing." Alice said, acting like nothing worried her.

     "So we're all advancing to the next grade." Gale smiled.

     "We'll all be together again." Ryota added.

     "Yeah! I'm so glad!" Chloe beamed.

     "You all did great." I smiled at them, slight sadness lacing my features. "And this also concludes my job as your teacher. Once this term ends, Teacher Tiss will take over for me, and I'll return home to Lunaria."

     Chloe frowned. "Teacher..."

    "Now, don't look so sad." I smiled. "I'm still here for a few more days, so send me off with smiles. Even after I go home, Alice, Chloe, Ryota, Kenya, and Gale, you'll all still be my precious students."

     "Okay." Chloe smirked.

    "Teach..." Kenya still wore a frown.

    Alice flinched as she remembered something. "Just don't forget to keep your promise, all right?!"

     "Promise?" I tilted my head to the side.

     "Yeah!" Kenya stood up. "You said if we kept our grades up, you'd show us the rest of that manga!"

     "Yeah, I know! I know!" I chuckled, waving them off. "I'll have every last volume of Parasyte ready for you."

     "Sweet!" They cheered.

      In the teacher's lounge, I walked up to Tiss with a smile.

      "Teacher Tiss, they're all advancing, thanks to your help." I praised.

      "It wasn't me." She waved the praise away. "They all worked very hard."

      I smiled wider. "I know I can trust you to look out for them from the next term on." I bowed to her. "Take good care of them for me."

     "Sure!" Tiss smiled brightly.

      Sesshomaru took care of the quadruplets to allow me some time to myself. I thanked him for this over a hundred times. He just smiled and said he was happy to spend time with the chidlren. He wanted for me to focus on our task.

      I was currently having dinner with Mjöllmile, talking about some business when I suddenly sneezed.

      "You caught a cold?" He teased.

     "Nah, someone's probably talking about me." I sniffed.

      "Well, you're popular enough." He chuckled. "Care for another round?"
