"So since you found your mate, you going to retire?" The girl elves looked to the men. They leaned back into the bench.
"We should." Sylvar nodded.
"Let's go tell the owner." Taegen said. The three male elves left us alone, which made me let out a sigh of relief.
"I don't know what I'm going to do with all of this testosterone." I grumbled. Kaijin just laughed at me.
"Should you really be wasting time in a place like this, Kaijin?" A arrogant masculine voice called, making us look over to find two noble men standing there. One was tall with slicked back brown hair with a thin mustache and a short brown beard. His hazel eyes showed his mischief. I had a strong feeling this was the Vesta I heard about.
The next to him probably was a aid of his. He had a stoic face, which didn't help his handsome face. He had his black hair slicked back and had a gold circlet around his head. His hazel eyes told me that he didn't want to be here but had no choice."It's Minister Vesta." Kaijin grumbled. Vesta smiled before he walked over to our table.
"Is this a good time to be playing around?" Vesta scoffed. "I believe the deadline for those longswords is..."
"I just sent them in." Kaijin told him. I smiled as I sipped at my drink.
"If you don't get them finished in time..." He cut himself off after his brain soaked in what Kaijin said. "What? You sent them in!"
"Yep. All twenty of them." Kaijin said as he folded his arms over his chest.
"But that's..." Vesta frowned, placing his hand by his mouth.
"Want to see the invoice?" Kaijin countered. Vesta cleared his throat.
"Is that so?" Vesta then straightened up. "Well, well, finishing your work in the time allotted is to be expected. Yes, it's only only be expected."
"It sounds you hoped he didn't finish in time." I sipped at my drink. I saw his jaw clench before he focused on Rigur.
"I'm more concerned with that!" He sneered. "You shouldn't bring such a lowly monster into a high brow establishment like this." He placed a handkerchief by his mouth. "It's making me feel ill. Hey! Do you allow monsters to be brought in here?"
I felt my power leak out, making everyone near me flinch. Rigur placed a hand on mine, then gently rubbed my knuckles with his thumb. I took a deep breath before I turned to him.
"It may be a monster, but it seems like a harmless Goblin. He is also with his mate."
"Who would that be?" Vesta scoffed.
"That would be me." I leaned back into the bench seat, draping my arms over the back of it, crossing my leg over the other. I swirled my alcohol around in my jug. "Got a problem?!"
