Chapter 6

When we got to the village, we walked down the road. Foundations of different buildings were scattered about, indicating where the next house or shop will be located. As we were heading back in, I saw Gobta training the Hobgoblins on how to summon their Taisho wolf partners.

"All right! I'll show you how it's done!" Gobta shouted. He started to grunt as he was focusing on something. A faint black mist formed at his feet and then he jumped away just as his wolf partner appeared.

"He managed to summon one." I chuckled.

"There you have it. Give it a try, all of you!" Gobta instructed.

"Good job Gobta." I shouted to him.

"Thank you Lady Kagome!" He smiled triumphantly as he got praise from me. I chuckled as I shook my head when I saw him trying to explain it to them. I had to admit though he wasn't the best teacher.

"Lady Kagome!" I heard a familiar shout. I turned my head finding Rigurd running towards us.

"Rigurd, where's the fire?" I asked him. Since the new Goblins joined our village, he leveled up from a Goblin Lord to a Goblin King. He is now the leader of all the other village elders who joined us. They frankly threw the job at him. But thanks to that promotion, he evolved a little more.. He stopped in front of me.

"We received a message from Rigur and the security team." He informed me. "It seems they've discovered suspicious beings in the forest."

"Monsters?"

"No, humans." Rigurd stated. "They may be scouts from some nation hoping to expand its dominion."

"Hm...it would seem I have to meet these humans." I rubbed my chin.

"My Lady, is thpack you were talking about?" Rigurd looked to my party. I nodded.

"Indeed. Rigurd, I like you to meet my first mate Sesshomaru." I introduced him to Rigurd. Rigurd bowed to him which Sesshomaru made a hum of approval. "Our daughter Rin." I held my baby girl, making her laugh. Rigurd smiled at her. She happily waved to him. "Our loyal retainer Jaken." I motioned to the imp. Rigurd bowed his head to Jaken. Jaken seemed to swell at the praise. "And Sesshomaru's loyal steed Ah-Un." I smiled at the two headed dragon. Rigurd stared at them shocked but was in awe. I could see Ah-Un act bashful.

I dropped my party off at the temporary housing before I left Ranga with them. I followed the direction Rigur pointed to and I dashed I to that direction. I ran at full speed, and I saw a woman take down a group of Giant Ants with some flaming sword skills. I watched her defeat them with ease but one seemed to make it through. It went to attack her. She readied her sword but something made her collapse to one knee. I summoned some Black Lightning and it landed on the ant, disintegrating it immediately.

"Shizu!" One of the party members called as they ran up to the woman. So her name was Shizu. I walked towards them in the dust cloud but something landed on my head. I gently grabbed the thing from my head finding a white mask. It must belong to Shizu since she was the closest to my attack. "Are you okay?"

"Yes." Shizu replied.

"What the heck was that?" One of the male adventurers asked, ready to attack.

"It looked like...black lightning." The other male said while his blade was ready to attack as well.

"I guess Black Lightning really is too strong." I coughed as I waved the dust away from my face. "Better not use that unless it's an emergency."

Soon the dust cleared from sight, allowing all of us to see each other. They had their weapons pointed at me but I wasn't fazed. I looked to them with a hand upon my hip.
