After the summoning for spirits was successful, I kept my end of the deal. I made Ramiris a new golem to replace the on that I destroyed. This one however had a human like appearance, almost like an action figure from back home. I then summoned a demon and made it possess the golem. Which that was another success.

After we said goodbye to Ramiris and her new companion, we left back to the capital to report the good news to Yuuki. I was now standing before him in the Free Union headquarters.

"I truly thank you." Yuuki smiled at me.

"Nah, no worries, no worries! The kids will be fine now." I smiled at him. "Guess they'll be able to live normal lives, huh?"

"Yes. It's unlikely the nations that abandoned them will ever try to take them back. That would violate international law, anyway. They'd be making enemies of Free Union if they did that."

"Are you going to give the kids IDs and make them members of the Union?" I asked.

"Well, if that's what they want, that might be a very good idea. But for the time being, I'd like to let them study at the Free Academy and give them the chance to choose their future." Yuuki smiled.

"Okay. I'm counting on you." I nodded my head.

"You needn't worry. By the way, you still won't tell me how you resolved all this?" He looked at me.

"That's a secret." I laughed. For some reason, deep, deep down something told me to be on guard of this man. "There are some things you don't need to know. It's no substitute for telling you, but I hope you'll be content with this." I snapped my fingers and hundreds of volumes scattered around his office. I just happened to be suddenly sitting on top of the pile.

"Understood! Thank you, Master!" Yuuki exclaimed as his got on his knees and repeatedly bowed to me.

I sat underneath the tree, watching the kids play with Ranga. I softly smiled as I grabbed Shizue's mask and looked down at it. I gently rubbed my fingers over the mask, remembering the events that transpired since I arrived here. I laughed at the memories or cried. I couldn't believe how much happened. How many allies, friends and family came along the way as well.

It was sad to say but now that the children are safe now. I had to head back to my town. I've been gone long enough. I could already imagine all the things I needed to prepare as well. I looked to the children. I wanted to give them something to remember me by as well Shizue, the one who started this all. I glanced back down and looked at the mask.

Great Sage, is it possible for you to make replicas of this mask? I asked her.

Yes. But they won't have the same enchantments as the original. It will be hallow.

That will be fine. I just want them to have it as a momento. I smiled as I placed the mask into my inventory so she could make the copies.

"Thank you, Kagome." Shizu's voice flooded my head. Tears once again streamed down my face as I heard her.

                              *****

A few more months have passed, I was seven months and the children were settling in well. I was watching them play from under the shady tree. My stomach was ready to pop. It won't be much longer before I give birth.

"Kagome." Ranga called, making me look at him. "I sincerely admire you for what you have done here." He smiled as he wagged his tail.

"Oh, that? It wasn't that big a deal." I waved off. "I just did what I had to do."
